The ranks of high ranking government officials and corporate CEO's are filled with psychopaths. The percentage of psychopaths in prison and in the professional world is close to the same. They occupy both spaces and at a higher rate than is found in the general population.

An Australian study has found that about one in five corporate executives are psychopaths – roughly the same rate as among prisoners.

The study of 261 senior professionals in the United States found that 21 per cent had clinically significant levels of psychopathic traits. The rate of psychopathy in the general population is about one in a hundred.

“For psychopaths, it [corporate success] is a game and they don’t mind if they violate morals. It is about getting where they want in the company and having dominance over others.”

The global financial crisis in 2008 has prompted researchers to study workplace traits that may have allowed a corporate culture in which unethical behaviour was able to flourish.

naw. he's always been on the somewhere on the self absorbed --> self centered --> selfish spectrum. and he may have an addiction problem.

so add money and fame and drugs and alcohol to a young man with an addiction problem and is somewhere on the self absorbed --> self centered --> selfish spectrum, and you get the transgressions we've seen.

but he'll convince himself and many others that believing in Jesus overcompensates for any wrongdoing in the past, and he can pat himself on the back, and believe he's a good person. his religion - when used incorrectly, as most do - will allow him to avoid any real introspection.

if he ever truly attempts the 12-step program, he may not be able to avoid introspection. but that's a whole nuther topic.
