is it normal to have no energy for hobbies after work?

I currently work a pretty physical job. its hard on the body but I much prefer physical stress over mental stress/dealing with other humans. but when I get home I have basically zero energy. Like not even enough to watch a movie. I usually just get cleaned up, eat some food, find something the slightest bit interesting on youtube for background noise and pass out by 7pm.

is this adult life? all it has to offer? I'm 31 for the record. spent my entire life as a nightout staying up to 3-4am until recently.
 
I get up at 345 am so I’m always in bed by like 8 and always tired after work. Sometimes I put a show on after work and wake up five episodes later or whatever. Have no energy only reason I’m still married is bull next door takes care of wife .. I use to work nights and was never as tired as working this early . As soon as I get use to getting up I go on my weekend and stay up late and ruin sleep pattern again. Then have to start it all over again
 
Feel grateful for having hunger. I go through the same shit.

Depression.

Find a hobby, something you can get “in” to. I’m told it helps. And I tend to believe it.

Time to embrace being a d level athlete like the ones sherdoggers look up to and start doing either BJJ or playing golf.


Or switch to doing something before work. I go to the gym at like 7am m-f, work from 9-4/5ish.. go home and eat/walk the dog/shower watch tv and be in bed by like 9-10.

You're probably right. Going to the gym is one of my hobbies tbh. I go after work so I'm ready to do whatever till midnight when I go to bed. I take pre-workout as well so there's no I'm too tired to go nonsense. Well plus I'm addicted to the gym.

I've always been a night owl. Plus I take it at 4 and I'm usually tired enough to sleep by 11.

i used to be able to do that but now I need to stop drinking caffeine by like 5 or I’ll have trouble falling asleep later lol. Also gonna be getting crunk in your hood next weekend.

I'm an alcoholic. The non-functionnal type. Had my ups and downs, did 10+ different jobs with the unemployed in between. Broke bones, relationships etc. Construction job was one of the best time in my life. Came home ruined by the day, ate a massive meal, drunk one or two drinks, fucked my girl and went to bed. My body went full muscle. Simple times, good for me. Then had a rhum fuelled night, fucked it all and had to have myself a new home, girl and job. And life just rolled on.

Is that me or you don't even have a place of your own ? That would be something to begin with.

Why the fuck do you complain so much ? You're a fuckup for the time being, swallow whatever the fuck you want to whine about and do / post something worth it. I'm nearing 10 years in here and never read somebody that obnoxious. Stop complaining FFS. And post fun random drunk stuff if you have to, it would still be better than what you are doing now

working out helps a lot…I’m in the best shape I’ve been in decades and I’m 48.
