I was wondering cause I never seen this in the rules and it seems like an effective move. Just lean your own head to the left and give your shoulder more breathing room and smash it into the guys face. I mean this should be more effective than a head butt and less damaging to yourself. Imagine your boney shoulder smashing into the guy's face. Who would even think to see this coming?

Just as legal as a kick with your fist I’d imagine.

Allan Goes was the first person I saw use this technique in the early PRIDE events.

Quadros called them "shoulder strikes."

Get your candy ass back to Mayberry, Clippy!

I mean, most clinch fighters do it up against the cage often.

How can you "head butt" with your shoulders?
{<huh}

And it's not illegal, seen it on TUF during Neil Magny's fight.

I'm not sure, but people have been saying head-butting people in the face with elbows should be illegal too because cuts.....

Headbutts with your shoulder? It reminds me an old thread where a sherdogger insisted that every kick was a leg kick, because they were all thrown with the legs.

It’s not as effective as armbarring someone with a punch though

Its legal and of course should be. I love this move because when clinching against the cage you should be doing this and foot stomps to harass the enemy when he thinks he can rest.
