I don’t believe so, but he was a solid champion who challenged himself and fought often. I wouldn’t argue if anyone had him in a top 10 list. I don’t have an official top 10 list I can rattle off without thinking it through - and thinking it through right now would cause an argument with myself right now.

You can make a case for being at the bottom or right outside the top 10 depending on the criteria you use.

But I would just stick with 2nd at 185.

Can't see how he cracks the top 10, he has lost 3 of his past 4 and 4 of his last 8. An argument that he cracks the top 20 seems appropriate.

You could argue that he is the 2nd best Middleweight, a distance 2nd to A. Silva. Losing to multiple MWs in his prime hurts his legacy.

Top 10 in his mind only, he is a fun striker to watch but a majority of the time too passive. Hard if you go back through the history of MMA to put him in the top 20...I mean maybe around 20...but I could easily name off 20 fighters going back that were and are far more deserving of the top 20 list.

Probably have Izzy somewhere around 25-30. He was good for a minute and went on a streak...but so have many MMA fighters. But honestly without the revenge KO of Alex, he might even fall to the mid 30's.

Look at his UFC career. 17 fights. 4 losses (none were close), 8 decision wins and only 4 finishes. That is not an all-time great's record.

If you watch enough MMA there is no way you can have Izzy in your top 10. Not remotely possible. His resume isn't terrible by any means but think of how many people (men and women) you can put over him as an example.

What is going to hurt his resume in the long run is that his best UFC win is Pereira and Whittaker. The rest of his Middleweight resume is a bunch of old fighters by the time he fought them or mid-level Middleweights.
