That was said in jest by me. And the conservative base is the audience he pandered to for the book (and it obviously worked), however, as far as I can tell, as far as actual, academic reviewers (who actually are privy to the historicity of fascism in the 20th century) the book was heavily flawed.

Pretty much. I mean, what "socialist" would not even have a public option within his historic healthcare plan? What true "socialist" would still allow tax expenditure after tax expenditure within the tax code? What true "socialist" would not make a real effort to curb tax inversion or not to raise capital gains above twenty percent? Etc. Etc.

The President who constantly pushes for more and bigger government is, Government run health care, Amnesty for illegal aliens and a number of other far left positions is in the middle, not a liberal and for sure not a Socialist. Wow.

There you have it, any mention of race as a motivating factor = race baiting. And the republicans aren't racist, because Abraham Lincoln was a Republican (the fucking guy actually says that in response! It's incredible!)

I'm curious, when and how can race be discussed as a motivating factor for policies, issues, or behaviours?

The ACA is not "government run healthcare" considering pharmaceutical companies and insurances companies are all PRIVATELY run and the government is not forcing anyone to see a certain doctor/medicinal practice. In fact, the ACA is pretty much antithetical to socialism considering how much power it gives to private corporations. And he has not granted amnesty to anyone (no idea where this came from at all).

No, you haven't proven shit. All you've been able to point to are people advancing race as a motivating factor for republican obstructionism. Your entire point rests on the idea that the very advancement of such a proposition is playing the race card. You're trying to define the discussion in such a way that any discussion of race at all is invalid, underhanded, unfair, that it's ''blackmailing.'' At the same time you've refused to answer my question on how and when racial issues can be discussed, which is something you said could be done!

Your posting isn't even internally consistent.

The least you could do is answer my question, since you've agreed with, or at least left open the possibility of race being a valid point of discussion. How and when can it be discussed such that it isn't ''race baiting''? If you cannot provide a distinction between when something is race baiting, and when it is not other than ''race isn't mentioned or implied'' then your point is a bullshit catch-all designed to do nothing more than suppress discussion of race.
