Look, I was mad about that fight too. It was a great fight, one of the top 10 at least and, for me personally, it was, other than a fight that's a little closer to home, the greatest build up to and fight itself that ever happened in mma.
I get that people like this idea that because he beat Sonnen, with that hail Marry sub, that he didn't get exposed. Except that he did and by the person no one wanted to, Chael Sonnen, I understand I'm leaving out the Chael fan's at the time but I was a hater. I couldn't beleive this guy felt he had anything for Anderson Silva and the gall of it all, but I saw him beat Anderson Silva round after round until the very end of the fifth round with that sub.
It's just what happened, Anderson Silva got exposed by Chael yet he still pulled out the win. It was an incredible fight. I get it though I do, I tried to believe in that story you tell too. I tried but I just couldn't deny what I saw, even if it wasn't what I wanted to see. It took me time to be able to appreciate it.
