Is Fedor vs. Lesnar UFC's version of Pacquiao vs. Mayweather?

Manny and Floyd's fight had lost it's chance to be the greatest boxing match of all time by the time it actually happened. It was a day late and a dollar short. This fight between Fedor and Lesnar has a realistic chance of actually happening. If it does happen now will it carry the same amount of significance as it would have had it happened earlier? Or will it be a lackluster affair between two superstars who are past their prime?

Fedor is not a draw, not on the level of Brock.

Manny vs Floyd actually happened though Fedor will never be in the UFC

Silva vs GSP was our Mayweather vs Pacquiao

Lesnar vs Fedor is more like Lewis vs Tyson

I don't know if you could compare Manny vs. Pacquiao to any single MMA fight, maybe the closest comparison would have been Anderson vs. GSP.

To me that fight meant very little, Pac had already been beaten and ko'd.
Kinda like Fedor :(

i certainly hope not. that one was a spectacular yawner.

..due to no fault of pacman, of course.

Never say never...

got me there... Always said the dude was GOAT gatekeeper then he went and won the title... but still every few months people get hopes up that Fedor will be in the UFC... it never happens.. It would be amazing but I doubt it ever happens.. Dudes making millions fighting 2-0 kick boxers..

Im a bachelor with no kids and enough time on my hands to say this thread is lame.

True but perhaps the UFC realizes like they have with Brock is that it takes money to make money.
Maybe they can entice Fedor? Plus Fedor may want to fight for pride, honor or something dignified for that matter.

Also I still see him as just a high level gatekeeper now :)

Pac and mayweather were the best fighters in the last two decades and that match took over half a decade to put together. theres nothing close to that in MMA

I guess? UFC doesn't have one of those. I guess Silva/GSP was closest.
