Is Eryk Anders the example of "A-level Athletes" from team sports MMA is looking for?

No, Anders is a college football player who couldn’t make it to the NFL.

Greg Hardy is an example of a future UFC champion in 1.5-2 years.

But he couldn't make it to the NFL because he was too small...

I remember Rogan was talking about how Lebron James would destroy heavyweights if he trained. I remember thinking that this was the guy that looked like he was about to cry when he got a leg cramp. He's going to dominate MMA?

and you dont think he could change?

plenty of short guys in the NFL, though none in defensive positions.

but generally, the shorter you are in the NFL or NBA, the more explosive and athletic you have to be. Short running backs would be the best athletes to transition to mma. Someone like Ray Rice could win a belt at 145 to 170.

If he was A-level he would have joined the NFL and not gone into MMA for way less money.

So you DO believe that Anders could've passed to NFL, had he been a better sportsman? Are there any other guys like his /Rice's size?

Ray Rice as a very surprising left hook, should asks is wife if she want him to train more

No, Anders' athleticism is overrated. He doesnt seem any quicker or smoother than any of his opponents. He got to the NCAA through hard work, not raw talent or exceptional physical attributes.

As for the second question, there are several.
This guy here is 5'7

A real A-level athlete would be able to pack on the necessary muscle to compete in his sport of choice. Genetics and athleticism go hand and hand.

Anders is basically a more athletic version of Sam Alvey. Good chin, big power, fiarly basic technique and a slow, plodding, low volume pace. They're both head hunters who either find the KO shot or it's a boring fight.

He didnt play soccer so according to most of the euros on here he is a trash fat american
