Is DJ the most real, kind, and just down-to-earth champion in MMA history?

I think he might be unliked by many for that very reason. He's like Ned Flanders and the majority of normal people would love to slap that smug face.

That said. He seems cool and good on him. Technically his fights are amazing.

So basically because he's friendly and outgoing you want him to fail? I respect people that want to be asocial, but I respect a fighter based off how they treat other people and don't get why people are so in love with the fact that some fighters behave with so much disrespect for others.

Like, I am not going to judge Jon Jones for taking recreational drugs but I AM going to judge him for endangering others by operating a vehicle under those circumstances. Some people criticize Nick Diaz for smoking pot, but I only will judge him for his DUI as well.

It's all about how your actions affect the community.

Idc what anyone says he's a great fighter, he's light so there isn't as many knockouts but I still like watching his fights personally. I think its crazy how fast these guys are.

Met him in person, and way back when he took the time to message me back on Facebook. He's huge for the MMA scene around here, I used to hear legends about him before he made it big

Where are you from if you don't mind me asking?

He's a nice guy. In mma history? Idk I'm sure there have been other nice champs.

Both seem nice and are very skilled but put on a ton of boring fights.

I never found GSP boring (maybe his fights against Hardy and Alves were not super exciting). With MM it's funny, I really like him as a person and respect his skill but I have to admit that I fell asleep during two of his fights. Anyway, I'm pumped to see him against Cejudo, finally an interesting challenge.

I have too. For the 1st time in my life I fast forwarded a Main Event when watching Mighty Mouse.

MMA fans create reasons to hate "explosive" champs if they don't fit into some thug stereotype

If by most down to earth you mean shortest distance from head to ground when standing, then definitely

Because I've never talked to a UFC champ who was so friendly, respectful, and appreciative of the fans. Dude literally has time for everyone and doesn't act better than anyone despite being the #2 P4P fighter on the planet. What a great guy.

I remember thinking that about him, then I saw him doing all that spinning shit he does to celebrate while his opponent was still on the canvas.

He's definitely more "down to earth" than the other champions, being 5'3'' and all.

DJ, GSP, Holly, JDS, Benson all good dudes

TS, when are you going to learn that MMA fans love thick, solid, tall and handsome strong men with tight muscles? You make MMA fans sound like they actually care about the sport.

no he is not down to earth, he reads from scripts. he just repeats himself all the time

Yea he memorized a three hour script when he went on the JRE and only repeats himself when he streams on Twitch damn near every day.
