Horowitz is misrepresenting the numbers for murder there. He chose an arbitrary low point of 2012 and compared it to 2016, rather than look at overall change (it's been slowly decreasing from the '90s)..

He is stating a fact. Not misrepresenting shit. Any year he could have picked would be arbitrary. I would give more of a shit about recent trends than one from 20 years ago.

I think it was more like they are interviewing people that the CNN guys know personally...the guy hosting the show knows the guy interviewed. While maybe not a cameraman for CNN he was a cameraman for Lemon. This is the real complaint and why CNN is fake news...they act like it is an average guy off the street but it is someone who has worked with Lemon and has an interest to behave a certain way.

People were rightly pointing out that actual fake news--that is, like I said, stuff like Macedonian teenagers just making shit up for clicks--could have contributed to the public being misinformed. Trump has seized on it as a way to try to discredit actual news (a common authoritarian tactic), but that was going to happen anyway.

Ya I get it.... in my opinion, opinion pieces presented in a factual format are fake. There's no effort to give an unbiased report of the facts. They only report the things they want you to hear and omit everything else.
