Is BJ Penn destroying his legacy?

And yet mcnuggets can get away with punching old men !! And JJ can knock over pregnant women and again nothing to do with legacy .. Makes perfect sense ..

Pretty sure Jon Jones isn’t being outclassed by Dennis Siver, Ryan Hall, and Clay Guida

He's on a record breaking losing streak in the UFC and he's out getting into drunken street fights regularly. It's really sad to see a legend of the sport and someone who was once talked about as an all time great/p4p great in such a mess. Personally I'm finding it really hard to respect the guy right now.
BJ Penn=Dwight "Doc" Gooden of MMA

I'm a firm believer that you can't erase the past and old legends are still legends even if they over stay their welcome and fall from grace but BJ is really pushing that limit for me. For me personally, as a big fan of BJ I do think his legacy has been tainted.

He already destroyed his legacy... by fighting WAY past his prime.

guy needs serious help, but at this point, it's hard to even feel bad for him. he's clearly a piece of shit

He's ruined his legacy in terms of being one of the best to do it, but his story is even more interesting now as he's become more of an enigma. When it's all said an done, his biopic/biography will make for very interesting viewing/reading.

I'd watch that. Let's be real...out of all of the dudes who were handling their business in MMA back in the day, did anyone really expect BJ to be the one getting into bar fights after their heyday? It's been a roller coaster ride for him, for sure.

His legacy is fucked. I used to be a big fan. He ruined his legacy and life by spending his adulthood being full of himself and thinking he is better than he is and having yes men saying whatever he wanted to hear.

he should have quit when he did that front flip out of the pool

I personally believe he was overrated to begin with, my friend.

I don’t think BJ is still alive in 10 years to be honest
Sad but true. Seems like some kind of early, tragic death is in the cards for BJ if things don't change dramatically in his life.

bj's legacy still there intact.

Look, its @positivebalance Alt account. Good to know you're still alive, most of us thought you would have commited suicide by now.

You can't erase history, so his legacy stands regardless. Even if he started getting into drunk trailer park fights with Tank Abbott.
You can actually erase history, and imo BJ has already destroyed his legacy.

You can't actually erase history, but you can overshadow it. 10 years ago, BJ's legacy was that of an all time great that is formidable in 2 divisions. He's now turned himself into a cautionary tale of wasted potential and staying around way too long

BJ took this fight on late notice, no training camp, no motivation.
