Is Ben Shapiro the Best "political" debater alive?

I've never seen him do a formal debate with the other side but that isn't usually common between people in his spot. I mean, I really can't think of a match up. Shapiro v. Maddow? Stewart? One of those Young Turks guys? I don't really know when you would really get one of those situations but it would be great to watch.
OHH the young turk guy is hedious, he did a debate with dnesh at politcon and all he did was play to the crowd, make silly faces and voices and talk about him getting arrested for campaign finance laws.

A convenient way to dismiss his ideas without actually having to debunk them.
Pretty much. Anyone who has read his positions thoroughly knows this is claptrap. Also, Ben Shapiro is a clown. I don't understand why people hold him up as excellent. He destroyed his own position within 15 seconds in that first video talking about the Gaza siege. It was laughable.

Yea that "debate" he had with hannibal burress while drunk was straight up stupid and he gets a lot of credit for not telling burress to go the fuck home until he can follow simple points and make a coherent sentence.
Harris has debated many intellectuals before though. Gaad saad, deepak chopra, Reza Aslan. Many fundamentalists too.

OHH I know, i was crediting harris with putting up with a drunk burress and a rogan that didn't want to tell his friend that he was wrong and not making very much sense.

I respect Shapiro's intelligence and I own his book titled Bullies: How the Left's Culture of Fear and Intimidation Silences Americans (2013), however, I can only take him in small doses. I prefer to listen to (or read) Peter Hitchens, Roger Scruton, Thomas Sowell and now Jordan Peterson.
How is the book?

How is the book?

I thought it was pretty good, but it is not worth buying if you are already aware of the left's crybully tactics. Shapiro explains why the left are bullies, gives examples and then has a chapter on how to deal with leftist crybullies if you are ever caught in a discussion with one.

He absolutely needs to be on the JRE. I'd love to see hours of conversation between him and Joe, especially if Joe somehow brought up MMA. I'm a Shapiro fan and I've love to hear his opinion on MMA.

Cenk is bad but he torched dinsesh there. Dinesh ran a poll after on his own twitter and lost nearly 4:1 in votes.

"sell out on his principles" ... come on, man.

Come on what?

"No political candidate is EVER going to completely represent every view that you have ... ok?

And no one ever said they would.

That's never going to happen.

Why you gotta crush my dreams?

"But, you should support the candidate that champions most of your views. Trump did that FAR MORE SO than Hillary

Actually, you have no business telling other people what they should do. People should do what they feel they should do, not what you feel they should do. It seems to me your argument thus far has been to set up your position that other should do what you want them to do.

If Ben felt Trump was too far outside of his core beliefs and chose not to vote for him, then that's his prerogative. It's not as if his vote was going to be the deciding factor, particularly in California. If he had any inkling that his vote could have been the deciding factor, that may have changed his stance somewhat. That's reasonable to assume. But considering he lives and votes in California and that state was overwhelmingly going to vote for Hillary, Ben could afford to abstain because he felt a principled stand was important enough. That's his call.

I'm not forcing anyone to do anything.

But Trump's and Shapiro's views have a lot of overlap, significantly more so than Hilary/Shapiro. If Shapiro wanted to see an America that best reflected his viewpoint and direction, then voting for Trump over Hillary was in his best interests. This isn't a question.

I disagree. I don't vote on "feelings", feelings are transient, sometimes you feel good about a candidate, you wake up the next day and you feel bad about them ... For no reason.

"I disagree with unchecked mass migration and don't like the idea of millions of unvetted Syrians coming to America as a principle, but, you know, the huffington post said that Trump was mean and like, literally Hitler! And oh my gaad, Hillary is on stage with Beyoncé!! I feel good and warm inside! I'm like, totally voting for her!!" .... SMH.

Personally, I vote on PRINCIPLES and VALUES. On that, no matter how many negative publicity stunts the media showed that Trump did and no matter how many celebrities Hillary posed and took selfies on stage with, I would always support Trump over Hillary.

Elections and politics are just too f**king important to be voting on fleeting "feelings".

That's good and all, but this doesn't mean that Shapiro went against his principles in not voting Trump.

He may have been much closer to Trump than Hillary, but it's not as if his vote was going to be meaningful in the California vote. Therefore , if he felt Trump wasn't the right guy and that he had too many disagreements, then he indeed stood on his principles by abstaining.

hes the best in the world at blowing liberals the fuck out and making them look like retards

too bad he was such an establishment cuck during the elections and tried all the #nevertrump shit. lost some respect for him even though i used to listen to the morning answer every single day before work
