Is Band of Brothers overrated?

Watching for the first time I'm only on the first episode but wtf is Ross from Friends doing trying to be some tough drill seargant? They didnt really cast David Schwimmer for this did they? It's not giving me a lot of faith that its as good as ppl say it is...

No. And if including a mini series in any of the ‘greatest show of all time’ threads it’s the only thing I’d put above ‘The Wire’

BoB is the best it gets when it comes to film/television

Band of brothers is the tits and its the best role ross ever had

HAHAHA Ross got sent to the helicopter school lmao he sad now

You're supposed to hate Ross from Friends.

The first 4/5ths of the series are some of the best stuff out on film. It peters out a little at the end, but it's still one of, if not THE best series ever made.

it is better than generation kill that is extremely boring.

Definitely an all time great. Also a very underrated opening theme.

The Pacific Theme makes me cry.. bless HansZimmer

Also a very good theme. Speaking of The Pacific, I always thought it was the Casino to BoB’s Goodfellas. Doesn’t really stand up to it’s predecessor but when judged on it’s own is still very good.

Keep watching. By the 8th episode it gets good.

just kidding. It’s the goat mini series.
Taking the 88’s in the 2nd episode =GOAT
Spears running through the town and back again=GOAT
Bastogne experience =GOAT
Winters running across a field alone only to find a company of SS=GOAT
Nixon being sauced the whole war=GOAT

BoB does something truly extraordinary. It attempts to follow up one of the greatest war movies ever made, in Saving Private Ryan. Not only does it succeed, it does so in such a masterful way that it stands completely on its own. The two are almost always mentioned separately, even though there is such a strong production connection between the two.

I remember watching it when it first came out on DVD, going down the local chinese food place & then coming back to my pad & bingeing like 4 episodes in a row. Epic series watching memory

Rewatched the whole thing a few years back, holds up incredibly well. It’s so good that I still haven’t brought myself to watch the Pacific followup one, just because I know I will be comparing it too much. I should get around to it though
