So, I've come to realize that I'm a huge tab hoarder. While I've mostly avoided this impulse in real life, on the internet I'm terrible in this respect. I have 59 open tabs right now, and that's after cleaning up and deleting at least 20 tabs on my browser. It's distressing. In the pre-internet days, I'm pretty sure I would've been that person who has piles of books and newspapers strewn about haphazardly in my home to such an extent that I could hardly walk. And I probably would've had at least a dozen cats, traipsing about over the piles of books and newspapers.

What the hell do you guys look up to have so many tabs? And how do you sort through them?

Also my mother only has like 30 pics online so you would have to download each one 10 times to get to 300. So that Idea is out the window.

My worst offending device is my cell phone browser. Pretty sure I have like 300 tabs dating back to 2020 when I got the phone

The rest of the time I use brave.

Desktop, 32 gig ddr5 ram. Main browser is firefox, second is Opera for when stuff doesn't work in FF, and mostly stopped using Chrome.


For my phone I also use Firefox, it stops counting how many tabs you have after 99 though, so I can't tell, but probably around 300. Phone has 8 Gig ram.


I think most browsers sleep tabs that are idle right? So probably not as bad as it sounds. I probably have a case of 'I'll watch/read it later" itis. I'm probably an extreme example, but browsing with only 5-10 tabs seems extremely limiting.
