"I am Khabib’s Kryptonite,” Alvarez said on Instagram (via MMA Fighting). “You all know it. It’s the elephant in the room. I’m the guy in the lightweight division, the only guy, that can beat Khabib. Everyone knows it. He can run to Georges [St-Pierre] or run to Conor [McGregor] or run to whoever, I’m the guy. I’m the guy to put that ‘1’ in that loss column.”

I think that by September, if Tony and Conor are still out, its either him that get the title shot or Lee/Barbz winner fight Alvarez for the title shot. Or most probably if Barbz win, I think the UFC will put him against Alvarez 1st, but if Lee wins, he'll fight for the title.

Anyway, is Eddie really the potential "1" of khabibs record?

As much as Conor is his easiest fight at LW, yes.

not at all. people saying that are just legitimately insane

sounds similar to what he was saying before the conor fight.

Y'all really have no clue who Eddie Alvarez is do you?

This is #1 bullshit.

Yes, I firmly believe Eddie will win that fight. No, I’m not a Khabib hater.

he's a tougher match up on PAPER for him than conor or tony imo

but in terms of actuality, probably tony --> eddie --> conor

No, Alvarez is good, but his wrestling isn't where it should be. He was supposed to take McGregor down and beat him up, lol - see how that worked for him. He isn't strong, fast or explosive enough to get people down/get up from stronger wrestlers. Khabib would beat Alvarez worse than Chandler did.

He said he's weighing over 190 pounds. I would say khebab is Eddie's kryptonite.

He's a very difficult fight for Khabib in a five rounder. Khabib is not a big finisher and would likely need to control Eddie for five rounds. Eddie has great cardio, scrambling, and durability. Khabib might hang on for a decision but it's a heck of a tough fight.

Alvarez's wrestling is the most overrated aspect of his game. He doesn't have the credentials.
