I've rescued dogs too. I didn't want to say it as a statement, like I had some sage insight. Two of my Dobermans have had thyroid problems and I have had to put them on a diet or pills. Pills are easier then a hungry dog
Yeah. I don't like using the word rescue personally even though I know it is what current society considers the appropriate terminology.
I didn't run into a burning building and heroically carry that dog thru smoke and flames. I paid $70 at the Burbank animal shelter. I "saved" him from being adopted by some volunteer with the pacific palisades animal rescue group, which would have meant he would have probabably been stupid wealthy had I not taken him ( back to my - at that time 0 bedroom studio guest house)... but I spoiled the shit out of him. He had a good life.
