is a tag heuer worth the price?

If you cant afford a 3k watch then you cant afford a 2k watch. Wrist watches are becoming more and more obsolete and you are better off saving that money or investing it.

thats a damn nice watch

Thanks. My dad bought it in the early 70s and I was always admiring it when I was a kid. He gave it to me a few years ago. Its a lot more delicate than modern watches with the acrylic crystal so I only wear it once in awhile and never when I’m working in the ER.

All nicely aged Rolexs

The GMT masters are getting rarer and rarer

I want a Pepsi gmt for my birth year and a Root beer gmt to put on leather. Those pieces will only go up in value and will be fun to wear. Clint Eastwood has always work the root beer and Dustin Hoffman has been fond of the Pepsi.

IMO, the entry level Tag's are nothing special. They're not bad, but for what they are, they're a bit overpriced.

Their higher end and or specialty models are quite nice.

As stated above, the Monaco line is nice, as is the Grand Carrera chrono if you can find one.

I have a Link chrono (probably the most comfortable bracelet of any I have) and a Grand Carrera.

These two:

Fuck man same I like the black and blue aswell

Watches are my weakness, when you see the athletes with their walk in wardrobes full of shoes etc
If I was rich as fuck that's what I'd have but with watches

I put my name on the list at my local AD for when the new Pepsi comes out.

I was about to pull the trigger on the GMT Master II with the green GMT hand when I saw the new Pepsi.

That thing is sharp.

Tudor is also a really good option. The watches are bulletproof and made much better than Tag. The black bay line or Pelagos would be great pics. Tudor is also very under the radar.

What are good watches to buy purely for investment purposes? As in, buy it, and put it in a safe for 10 years.
Rolex.

LV sub, BLNR, and vintage. Vintage will always go up, but the risk is in the purchase. The innards must be Rolex parts only. If you can get a 1680, especially the red, it will only go up. Same with vintage subs, sea dwellers, gmts.

TAG is #1 Bullshit.

round shape, automatic movement, leather strap if possible... cant pay more than 2g’s though.

If you're buying a watch to impress someone, just buy a knock off Rolex or other brand. Many can't be readily distinguished from the real thing. If you need accurate time you have a cell phone that can provide any information that a watch does.

Good luck with that. I sincerely mean that, and I'm also making fun of you. If you've bought stuff from them in the past you might have a chance. That watch is going to be pretty tough to get for a few years. I've already read of ADs in EU selling them for 16k USD out the back door.

Good luck with that. The AD in my area isn’t taking names anymore. I walked by their mall store and asked one of the managers.

I’m still wondering when the Daytona will arrive.

They told me about a month ago that it would be late summer (at the earliest) or some time in the fall.

It's an AD I've purchased from in the past (Milgauss and Black Bay,) but I agree the wait list is gonna be crazy.

Fingers crossed.

That's not how you do it though. You have to have a purchase history with a particular store, not have spread out buying watches from within their network of stores. The more you deal with one sales associate the better.

I have a knock off Rolex. The big shots at work like to mock me for wearing a cheap watch. I like to mock them for having to buy expensive baubles to draw attention away from their awful personalities.
