is a tag heuer worth the price?

Hey guys. I am interested in a luxury timepiece and there are lots of brands out there. There is no way i can afford a top tier brand like Hublot, Richard Mille, AP , etc. Tag Heuer has some interesting models that start from 1600-1700 bucks and up. I am looking for a watch with automatic movement.

Some friends have told me that tags are overrated, overpriced pieces or crap and i should spend a little more to get an omega , breitling or a longiness. On the flip side ive read good reviews about them.

If any of you got a tag please share your experience... any suggestions are welcomed... thanks.

Execpt for very high end pieces like tourbillion etc. most of those watches use kinda same machines other than that tag heuer is ofcourse a very high quality swiss made watch but brand doesnt have that Panerai,Rolex,Patek charisma for sure

You can find Omega's in the 2000 range. I prefer the look of them to Tag's but that's just personal preference.

Tag makes some nice watches that have clean styling without appearing pretentious.

If you like the way they look, get one.

This one is my favorite from them, and the price is reasonable.

My personal favourite is the Monaco
To this day it looks miles better than most watches due to its unique shape

I had a rare 500 piece one which had steve McQueen colours on it
(White face blue and red stripe)

Had to sell it when I got poor

Now I have a blue Monaco
And an all silver carrera which I wear for occasions as it's a little more classy


Ultimate goal is the green (hulk) Rolex submariner but Tags are a great gateway watch
Never had any problems with any of them and customer service was always brilliant

round shape, automatic movement, leather strap if possible... cant pay more than 2g’s though.
