Media Iron Mike Chandler calls out all you scummy illegal streamers

I would love to know how often posters have both "i always use illegal streams, F paying for fights" type posts, AND "fighters aren't paid enough" type posts both in their history.
only 1% of fighters get PPV points the rest get fuck all of the revenue they get kicked out of the fucking building after their fights.

Streaming illegally? I'm not streaming anything, I'm watching. Last I checked I pay a monthly fee to use the internet, not my fault or problem what's on it. lol at paying for lukewarm entertainment in 2025, there's millions of hours of that on youtube, step up your game already and quit the jaw jackin.

Silly Chandler of course they won't stop pirating. All this Paramount deal will do is reduce the amount of people watching illegally if it's successful, not completely put an end to it.
Thats already a big enough win for UFC. They eliminated most of the piracy by making all the events accessible in one place, at a lower price. You also get the big cards on CBS completely free.

At this point people that are pirating are just broke mofos. Its 8 bucks man, its really not that much. Thats like buying a burrito or burger.

Why even struggle with low quality pirate streams at this point. Even if you get lucky with a good stream that shit is like 720p with compressed audio, weird frame rate.

He's not just a UFC company man anymore, he's upgraded to a Paramount man.

My resolve to pirate even after the move to Paramount has doubled

Firstly: FU Michael Chandler

Second: NO!!

Lastly: Not my fault Paramount decided to tuck tail and pay Uncle Donald 16-million for their television deal📉 🦆🤡

If you think about it, have more PPV sales ever translated in to more pay for the average fighter?

It seems like their average pay started going up when the UFC started signing bigger broadcast deals and expanding their global reach. I would imagine average fighter pay has incrementally increased each year over the ESPN contract as the PPV sales incrementally, significantly decreased.

And yeah I get the whole profit share bit is broken on the company's part. Fantastic excuses for being cheap though, grats.

Realized cheap may not be the only factor. I forgot the types that like to bitch and moan about things while not participating.

Bro, I'm just making some obvious points. No need to get upset and attack in response.

Paramount + is only available in USA and Canada so this doesn't change anything for other Countries that aren't USA and Canada. Also It hasn't been confirmed whether or not the streaming rights for UFC will carry over to Paramount + in Canada so although unlikely, it might only just be Americans that benefit from this Paramount + deal which gives the rest of the world and possibly Canada much reason to still watch illegally.

My $15 antenna which I've had for a decade has allowed me to watch NFL, NCAA football, MLB world series, Olympics, Tennis Grand Slam finals, weekends of every single PGA event, and my local NHL/NBA teams for free.

LOL at calling people scummy streamers when the UFC is one of the only sports in the entire world that makes it expensive and difficult for fans to watch their product.

The fact that the UFC is now putting their premier events on national TV (like 90% of popular sports do) should actually reflect positively on the streamers, maybe Chandler these people actually had a point ?

If Chandler wasn't a dumbass/shill his response would've been "this deal is financially beneficial to the company and allows us to be reach a wider audience, everyone wins so happy for sport".

yeah, that PPV model died a long time ago. The UFC should've left it behind once they signed their deal with Fox in 2011.

What a stupid comment. Most people would've been paying a monthly streaming fee starting way back if they had offered it. This deal with ESPN+ was stupid enough that it soured between UFC and ESPN toward the end, created frustration and negativity for the brand in the beginning and established an undying animosity and contempt from the fans. Of course most people weren't going to pay $90 for 3 hours of low level sports entertainment. Chandler has always been and will always be a cheating douche bag with a losing record.
"Chandler has always been and will always be a cheating douche bag with a losing record."

He used to win more fights before coming to the UFC. Losing record in the UFC but everything else is on point.

If a company is paying 18% to it's fighters, and the revenue doubles, wouldn't that mean the fighter pay doubles too? Not in percentage but amount.
Maybe but they arent obligated to pay that. Shit they cut bonus payouts the last few years. It might have to be 12 now who knows

How long is he going to wait around to find out the answer? Probably quite a long time, if recent history is any indication.
