I found the same issue.

I already have a paramount plus subscription so the recent news is great for my ability to watch UFC cards.

It's 10 years past when the PPV should have been ditched but better late than never i guess.

I have always found this to be a fairly simple thing to dissect:


You have:

A) People who will watch it if it is free
B) People who will pay a price they think is fair
C) People who are OK being ripped off for the convenience

So what is currently at play is whether this deal is going to convert enough As to Bs
(And Bs to buyers at the new rate)

Which was pretty much always going to be the tipping point which would end PPV


IF the company can make back in volume what they give away in insane bending people over profit margin, then PPV ends.
Streaming has finally reached critical mass volume for that to be in play.

What a stupid comment. Most people would've been paying a monthly streaming fee starting way back if they had offered it. This deal with ESPN+ was stupid enough that it soured between UFC and ESPN toward the end, created frustration and negativity for the brand in the beginning and established an undying animosity and contempt from the fans. Of course most people weren't going to pay $90 for 3 hours of low level sports entertainment. Chandler has always been and will always be a cheating douche bag with a losing record.
