In a open and honest interview with Elvis Mitchell, Tarantino admits he has become the jaded old filmmaker he's been protecting himself from. He's very frank here and it seems like the passion for the overall process has left him. He even gets a touch grim at a certain point.

He should remake Natural Born Killers the way he intended but ending on OUATIH isn't a bad way to go either.

Doesn't sound like he wants to do anything. The interview was self-eulogistic, not just for his career but for his life.

Haven't had time to watch this yet, but @Highway99 , do you have any idea what/where the full interview is from which this short was taken?

Tarantino and Sorkin are my #1 and #2 and I lost my shit when I saw my #1 talking about how much he loves my #2 😁

I'll try to find it tomorrow

I think he's also called George Bruce writer of 1939's The Man in the Iron Mask and 1937's Navy Blue and Gold one of if not his favorite screenwriters. There is an interview where he talks glowingly about him which I'll try to also find tomorrow.

See, I'd expect Tarantino to lavish praise on someone I'd never heard of who'd never written anything worth a shit, which is why hearing him praise Sorkin was such a pleasant surprise 😂

He's said complementary things about Sorkin before, though not as boldly.

I haven't found the source of Tarantino talking about Sorkin, but here is the podcast where he talks about George Bruce and calls him his favorite screenwriter at about the 3:45 mark. I guess Sorkin is # 2.

Another worthwhile listen, but the interview in the OP is a must listen.

Weinstein goes away and Q loses his passion and drive. The foot supply must have been off the charts to keep the machine humming the way it once did.

would be cool if he just spend 100% of his time in Israel and never stepped foot in america again, he doesnt deserve it
