That’s how you carefully craft a champion. Meticulously pick each fight and spend a year training in between so you can finish your steroid cycles and test clean.

interesting nomatter how you fight
if you fought the fighters jon fought its almost impossible to beat them all
champions after champions lining to challenge him
3 generations

Jones has more championship victories than any fighter in UFC history. Most of Sherdog might dislike him but he’s without a doubt the greatest talent this sport has ever seen and your favorite fighters favorite fighter.

That was only after a certain point. After the first first DC fight. Before that, Jon Jones had what, 14 wins and 0 losses, defending his belt 8x, all within 5 years in the UFC. 15 - 0 in the UFC in 5 years ~ 3 fights a year. Not only that, but they were all against the best opponents from that time, as he defended the belt 7x. Defended vs TRT Vitor, Lyoto Machida, Alexander Gustafsson, Daniel Cormier... Those are only the biggest names, a clear different level in competition from who Kevin Holland faced, plus, the majority of these fights being schedules for 5 rounds — the preparation is different. He couldn't pick and choose when he fought the best available by then.

His pace decreased, sure, but he still didn't avoid any match up at LHW. OSP was the best one there for the time being, he defeated DC again, then Gus again. Had defeated Glover before the DC saga, Glover had been on a 17 wins streak and was 22-1 by then lol. OSP was already part of the third generation on LHW, who he defeated. He defeated Anthony Smith, who had Bisping talking the whole time to be the fighter to defeat JJ once his prediction for Gus 2 failed. Defeated Thiago Santos who was in a big streak and had just KO'd Jan Blachowicz and then, to finish the LHW run, defeated Reyes, another third generation fighter who was undefeated by then. It wasn't easy, but JJ toughened it out and outperformed Reyes, a loss that broke Reyes mentally. Like Mayweather diminished his pace, Jones also did. I think Jones is more professional in the sense he doesn't rush to take fights at a certain point when he already feels some physical limitations. Since he is a ruthless competitor, he won't take short notice fights or anything, he will fully study the opponent, do his dancing rituals and all to be there to win, not to entertain the crowd. Mayweather did that after a certain point and he had already plenty of money. So much his nickname was changed from pretty boy to Money Mayweather. He'd make wayyy more $ in his fights yet he just slowed his pace, JJ kept fighting in a riskier combat sports, I mean, riskier in the sense of losing the fight, for wayyyy less money, but he kept winning.

Different fucking planets. But, listen, I don’t actually count Holland out of anything. Holland could find the wherewithal to hunker down and get real real serious and it could change the whole aura around him. He’s highly skilled, but he fights like it’s roulette every time and he’s candid about his indifference to loss. Jones just sees things that nobody sees and can do things that no one else can do, it’s something innate there. It’s prodigal.

From the moment Jones grabbed Bonner by the skull and threw him down like he was half his size, I knew that Jones was magic.

Yeah they know deep down that JJ is the GOAT. Every GOAT contender fighter openly say "when it comes to best of all times, it's JJ" — Khabib, GSP, Silva, Islam Makhachev even... New generation fighters like DDP, Chimaev, Ilia Topuria also said openly that JJ is the best MMA fighter of all time. Fans comment based off their emotions, which I get. When you don't like the person and the person doesn't lose since how many years, the frustration grows, the arguments become more emotional, but also more stupid. But they know that he is the GOAT, and they hate to know that this is true, they hate this idea, so they need to echo chamber so get it off their chests a little.

guys, fuck Jon Jones.
Who cares if he is the GOAT or not. It's really irrelevant at this point given the context of this situation.
I'm sick of every thread on here about Jones this and Jones that.
His fans are hypocritical, and every post defending him and his behavior seems like it is written by an immature idiot. They think he's above the sport, and run out non-stop ridiculous justifications for what's going on. How many more posts where some retard discusses what is in Jon's best interest do I need to read? Jon didn't have a $$ issue to fight Gane or Stipe, but now suddenly he has one with Tom.
Fuck Jon's best interest. What about HW's best interest? How about the champ fighting the interim champ with better claim to the title if we are being honest or vacating. How about his fans admit Jon is actually worried about fighting Tom, which is why he's drawing out these negotiations asking for a lot more money? How about they also admit that Tom has beaten way more top 10 heavyweights and the manner of his last 5 victories is way more impressive than Jon's last 5 victories (which go back how long?)

Jon is squatting on the HW belt and being a bitch. He's fucking up Tom's career making him sit out during his prime. And the UFC is allowing this to happen because they are assholes as well.
Don't care how great a career he's had. Him and this situation are getting annoying. If you are defending Jon at this point, you're an asshole too. It's really that simple.

Fight or vacate. Simple.

I honestly wonder how many are paid UFC shills at this point.
