Tech "intel's f-----"

Intel murdered his family by short circuiting their pc and causing a fire that burned his parents

Intel is starting to downsize their marketing budget.

While they will still retain IEM(Intel Extreme Master) branding for ESL esport events. They will no longer fund the Grand Slam Counterstrike prize pool. If a team won four ESL lan events within a specific time frame. Intel would gift an additional $1,000,000 prize.

Damn even Intel dropped 10% today

Time to get back in?

Intel is reportedly 'working to finalize commitments from Nvidia' as a foundry partner, suggesting gaming potential for the 18A node

Nothing is finalized yet. But this would help a struggling Intel of which I have stocks in...
It could work with enough effort and money, but I think Wall St (and the admin) are really underestimating how hard it is to combine tech stacks and production lines. You can't just smash together 2nm and 18A or packaging solutions, the best bet is just helping Intel improve its PDKs

Somewhere @rob mafia is smiling
Hah I’m glad he’s banned because I’d be eating crow. I remember early in this thread I was like “ yeaaaah right they might lose sales but they’ll be fine. They aren’t going bankrupt.” To which he said they wouldn’t go bankrupt, but they were still mega fucked. Turns out he he was way more right than me. Dude was a huge doucher too so I’m sure he’d be running victory laps.

I only skimmed all those updates. Don’t really feel like trying to figure that all out especially since I’m sure we can’t see the whole story. Seems like both companies are doing well this year, so that is great. I’m happy for them. Hopefully the space keeps getting more competitive. I miss stressing over which parts I should buy
I guess I was wrong. My first post wasn’t nearly as bad as I remember hahah

My only concern is that Intel doesnt go belly up. For this creates a AMD CPU monopoly. An we already know how expensive a GPU monopoly is under Nvidia.

Dont know if this is wrong, right, misguided and or a half assed response by the Trump administration.

That's not what would happened, Intel CCG would be able to run as a standalone company, even after all the losses.

Under normal USA administration practices. Would it have been wiser for Intel(and even TSMC) to build these fabrication facilities in Mexico?

Probably not yet, Mexico doesn't have the labor force or infrastructure for it and you'd be risking tariffs still.

Lots of ODMs have opened up shop in Mexico recently (Dell and HP desktops source from there now) but they're still early and aren't even doing notebook ODM work there yet. So semi is a non starter.
