News Inside China's fake cities. China has built replica Eiffel tower, London and other cities

Authoritarianism builds societies that discourage original thought. They can't design their own vehicles and cheating is encouraged, so copying others accomplishments doesn't come as much of a surprise.
I bet they're doing all kinds on new shit on human gene editing, gene doping. We'll see how far along they are in the next olympics. Don't underestimate CCP.

I’ve never heard that explanation for China’s state sponsored corporate espionage, lack of architecture and other artistic pursuits. But it makes perfect sense. I mean, look at socialist realism. Not exactly the apex of creativity.
Lol. Yeah, exactly.

Stay to certain themes and colour inside the lines. You see the exact same thing in Islam. Yeah, the patterns are vibrant and the architecture interesting, but it's also completely stagnant, has been so for centuries and will remain so. Take a walk through Prague and Budapest and the contrast between pre and post Communist architecture, if what happened under Communism can even be called such, is stark. As you said, the art was all about depicting the mundane, in mundane ways.

If you want to control the population then you can't have them thinking outside the box. And creativity and innovation die when imagination is actively discouraged.

Sure, but none of it is based on their own findings or out of their own learning institutions.

Only then you're seen as a threat to the party ...........

I don’t disagree with you that authoritarian discourages creativity, but if you perceive China as a threat, then have you thought that perhaps this is a good thing? Would you rather they be out innovating you in AI or just trying to copy you?

They have remodelled their society in the image of modern Western technological and scientific developments.
There was no choice for them in this to keep up.
The copying of culture and even architecture is a by product.
Once they feel they are able to have their own self sufficient innovation and r&d it will get less.

If you show innovation and creativity as a Chinese citizen, you're going to be monitored by the CCP.............as a possible asset or threat to them.

Probably used by the PLA as training grounds for the invasions;)
