Innocent man shot dead by police . Very likely a case of Swatting.

Apparently the two retards were arguing on the game and one of the tards gave a fake address to the other tard (arrested guy) when he threatened to SWAT him.

Gamer - Tyler Barriss from CA has been arrested.

Initiated from a row between two gamers playing Call of Duty online, US media say, although the address raided was unconnected.

Thing about swatting is that the person making the call usually uses a burner phone called from a location with no cameras, and then the phone is destroyed. The guy making the call was probably so rustled he called from his moms basement on the home phone.

Burners are pre-paid phones that people buy then just throw away when they’re out of pre paid time. You don’t need to show ID to buy them so there’s really no way to track down who actually bought it as it’s not registered to their real name or address more often then not. Always find crackheads and bangers rolling around with half a dozen deactivated cell phones in their backpack or car.

Can also just use computer programs to disguise where the call originates from, similar to VPN, if you don’t want to go to the trouble of buying a phone.

All the ones I have worked came in to dispatch using VOIP and a call spoofing app, think the shit solicitors use to make it look like a number near you.

Makes locating the source complicated.

Apparently they’re crediting online schmuk Keemstar with catching this dude. The caller was an attention whore and contacted Keemstar via Twitter for an interview. The dude confessed on video to his involvement over the phone and was subsequently arrested.

Police need to be held accountable when they make a mistake and kill an unarmed man. Felony conviction and prison time, no exceptions should be made.

There is no other scenario where someone makes a mistake that leads to them murdering someone where we just let it go.

There are a ton of other scenario's where people make a mistake and kill someone, and we let them go.

Kate Steinle's killer being the worst example.

But let's think this through logically, are you saying that ANY killing of an innocent human deserves prison time?

If you're a police officer, at a mall, and there is a mass shooter on a rampage - and you shoot the mass shooter, but the bullet penetrates him and hits a child that you couldn't even see, possibly on another side of a wall -- do you go to prison? Or do we call this a horrible tragedy, and a mistake in good faith, and ultimately blame the mass shooter?

Here’s a rundown of what happens when there’s a sketchy police shooting. The DA files charges knowing there will be an acquittal, since charges will appease the masses. Meanwhile the city is already coming up with a settlement number for the civil suit.

Look at the shooting in Milwaukee. They threw the cop under the boss knowing he wouldn’t be convicted.
