In response to continued calls for Twitter to ban Jones from the site, Dorsey bluntly explained why Twitter has not joined Apple, Facebook, YouTube, and many other companies in barring Jones for disseminating hate speech, among other things. In a lengthy thread, Dorsey not only maintained that Jones has not violated any of Twitter’s policies but framed the backlash against Jones as “political” and suggested that it’s up to the news media, not Twitter staff, to police accounts like Jones’s that “sensationalize issues and spread unsubstantiated rumors.”

Are you claiming that these companies are under government control? Companies that are not under direct government control are private sector companies. Maybe you need to try and learn the difference between private sector, and public sector.

TBH...Twitter whole existence is around controversy....Really, that's the only way I hear about twitter...Either Trump saying stupid shit, or people getting offended over stupid shit...That's literally the only way I hear of twitter.


If they get rid of Alex Jones, they are getting rid at one of the most controversial/interesting figure in Twitter....Just like Trump, he brings in viewers.


Having said that, Im happy twitter hasn't gotten rid of him.....I want to see what the nutcase has to say and how he is defending himself.

I never thought I'd have anything positive to say about twitter. Holy shit. Thumbs up to that hipster looking asshole. I might have to sign up just to give him one of those heart things.

But Jones isnt being censored because of his politics........ he's being banned for inciting hatred. For spreading disinformation and being a general asshole

First, it's not censorship at all because the gov't isn't getting involved, and second, the principle underlying opposition to censorship is that everyone should have the right to tell the truth to the best of their ability. You don't have a right to lie.

Sandy Hook!" talking points, you knew he got a stern talking to and something was rotten in Denmark. Joe has tons of influence now, makes tons of money from these monopolized platforms, and he has to be very careful to not end up like his Texas buddy, or atleast being shadow banned or demonetized like a reported 93% of like minded people now are.

I also have noticed a lot of YT'ers that market themselves as being 'centrist objectives', like Boogie2988 or Phillip DeFranco following suit and repeating MSM talking points about Alex I citing violence against others and "Sandy Hook Sandy Hook Derp hatespeech derp". It's shocking to see either how I'll informed they are and how much they want to stay at the YouTube trough. Lets face it, someone like Boogie2988 would have no possible way of making a decent income without YouTube, he can't even make it up a flight of stairs after all.
