Indoctrination through public schooling

The rioters we see on video every night learned their values (or lack of values) from somewhere. Probably at school. Like the OP said

Lmao, ok bud, it's all the public's schools responsiblity to teach the kids their values and moral system. You have completely ran off the rails

Sounds like your kids teacher like facts and reason. Smart lady

Also let’s examine this... the smartest people are usually well educated folks. Therefore the smartest people amongst us are clearly liberals.

Agree. For what it's worth, my kids went to private Schools (I know... I know...) and I think they got a pretty balanced World view there. Still leans liberal but more balanced comparatively speaking.

Never went to a Catholic school, although I've worked for a few. In my experience though, private schools have just been better in most ways. Not all of them, and not always, but as a general rule.

My 8th grader came to me and showed me an online lesson plan put out by his guidance counselor via proxy by his English teacher. What I saw made my blood boil.

The 'guidance counselor' sent out a call to activism for all the kids from 6th-8th grade. She recommended that each student visit these "activist" sites, which included: tolerance dot org, obama dot org, SPLC dot org, and others, stopping just short of advocating for antifa.

So there she was promoting anti-cop, hate, and victim culture websites to impressionable young kids instead of pushing anything close to education.

I called the woman with the hyphenated last name (another clue as to what I was dealing with), and asked her why she thought it was ok to push a leftist political agenda. She said she thought she was doing the right thing by being there for all these (6-8th grade) kids who are victims of police brutality.

LOL. For fucking real?

I live in a blue-collar suburb in NJ, and fortunately, we don't have those problems here, or anywhere around this area. Not only was she completely full of shit with her reasoning, but she had no answer when I asked her what made her think that is was ok to push her political agenda on these young kids. She later said she thought she was "helping." Cunt.

I got the 'lesson' removed, but wonder how many kids visited those sites before it was gone.

Please watch what your kids are doing. It's OUR job to raise our kids and set them straight, not the fucking liberal school system.
I'm actually a giant supporter of home schooling and plan to do it with my kids. However, I understand the issues with it, and I also understand the joke that most parents who home school their kids (and hate the public school system) are a bit on the wacky side.

This thread is a great example. The vibe I get is that the main reason you all don't like the school system is that it will indocrinate your kids. Except... we are all obviously fans of indoctrinating kids. It's just that we all want to indoctrinate our kids in OUR way lol.

Why Systemic Racism Is a Public Health Crisis - Rolling Stonewww.rollingstone.com › culture › culture-news › racism-public-health...
Apparently, racism is now a 'virus' on par with covid. That's right, just as insidious and just as deadly supposedly.
Once cities and states buy into this, watch your taxes go through the roof, overall medical care worsen and racial agendas
and quotas clog the already overburdened system.
awesome.
such progress.
Did you read the article?

You have to start homeschooling your kids and fighting the democrats when they eventually make the push to make homeschooling illegal.

<Kpop01>Bro Schools job is to indoctrinate kids lol.......That's literally their job, I guess you didn't like the material they used but that's literally what schools are for lol.

Everybody in school has been indoctrinated with politics in one way or another, it's normal.........perhaps instead of making a safe-space for your kid by intervening in his school life, you should raise him to have those certain ideas/ideals you like instead of censoring his life because you fear your kid might think differently than you.

Always teach your kids to question everything as well...Stop trying to safe space your kid.

I did as a kid, and to be honest I had a horrible experience there, but the Catholic Schools of today seem to be a lot better. Probably because they aren't forcing Nuns to be teachers when that's the last thing in the World they wanted to do.

If you had told me I'd ever send my kids to a Catholic school I would've told you you were crazy, but between not liking the pitch at the Private Schools in our area and the fact that we had friends with kids in Catholic Schools with positive experiences (we went to some of their School's events) it swayed us back in the fold. So to speak. I'm sure it's different from School to School though. ;)

Best school I went to was a boarding school, but when I tell people I went to boarding school they look at me like I just said I was abused as a child. Very old school and a bit colonial, but the education left me years ahead of the public schooling system in Australia.

Same. My kids too. They both tested way higher than the average. My oldest is going to graduate from Cornell a semester early (thank God because it's expensive as hell) because so many of his HS Classes (He went to Bellarmine College Preparatory School ) were accredited there (which is pretty rare for an Ivy League). The best thing for me as a parent though, is that he really loved his School and his Teachers. They made him want to learn and take pride in his work. Best move we ever made sending him there.

leftism is a religion. we need to separate church from state.
This is theater thing I say a lot. Leftist dogma has become a religion. They have empty loves and need something, meaning to fill their lives. SJW nonsense is filling that void now. And it's dangerous. It's been big for a few years and it is already a radical mess
Did they teach you to hate America and stuff like that? I think some of them are.
It was the 90s, so it wasn't blatant but yes they did. Basically everything the US did was bad and that other countries were just kinda victims.
And blacks were victims and could never do anything because they are victims.
I got red pilled in like 8th grade.

My daughter history class was anti-Trump propaganda all year long, anti-Russian and anti-Chinese xenophobia on top of that. Now the teacher is out protesting against her skin color.
They did not read their American history book, studding New York Times instead. My daughter had to study history on her own at home.
Fortunately, my daughter has thick skin and I did not need to be involved.

That's your job though. You're the parent, the school system is not.
