Well I guess we can disagree. You seem to think were helpless and must just live with people coming here illegally. I think a wall would make a big difference.

People are tired of the "we can't do shit to change our situation" arguments hence Trump beating Hillary in the polls.

Did I say we can't do anything, no. You can think a wall will do something all you want, but how often do we hear stories of tunnels being dug now. In remote parts you would not even have to do that, simply climb the wall.

You want to address illegal immigration, address the immigration system. Address the drug market which causes so much violence in the countries people a fleeing from. Their are ways to do this, but they are not easy and not contained in simply sound bits and simplistic thinking.

And he's faced really terrible candidates. I mean really, it's not that hard to shit on the cast of clowns the GOP has presented.

Trump basically kicked their ass and his only specific proposals was to keep Mexicans and Muslims out of the country. It shows you how bad the state of the GOP is (no real ideas).

He didn't win the debates. The people who like him, like him no matter why. It's the reason why the debate threads we had polls in had 10 votes for trump about who won before it even started. If you could winning a debate as who is best at name calling, then sure

If you are sick do you want the doctor to address just you symptoms or the underlying cause?

There are pretty powerful reasons for people wanting to come here. Unless you address those any effort for simply stop the people will ultimately fail. People want simply answers to complicated questions, to bad their are none. Maybe at some point people will figure that out.

Again, you're saying we can't just physically stop them...we have to make them want to stop.

I don't agree. I think we can secure our boorder with force.

lol@trump running when he's done 11 debates .. :facepalm: he's destroying his rivals as it is with votes, delegates and everything else .. cruz, who's 100s of delegates and millions of votes behind doesn't get to dictate when they debate, especially given that trump has already done 11 debates already .. not to mention trump has nothing to gain from it ..

Israel built a wall around the west bank, its not even finished, and suicide attacks are down over 80%

People who don't think walls / border defenses work have no clue what they are talking about.

Germany spent the entire second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century coming up with novel ways to avoid the french border defenses.

Even after the Battle of France where germany outflanked the maginot line they never breached the fortifications by force they had to bring in french field marshalls to conivnce the defenders to surrender.

If the strongest military in Europe couldn't figure out a acceptable way to breach the Maginot line, then a bunch of poor illegal immigrants aren't going over a three layered border fence patrolled by 30,000 agents

Sure drug dealers could build tunnels, but they will be few, and drug dealers are not going to be stopping their cocaine shipments to let poor immigrants from Guatemala through.

The polls (for a state that's damn near impossible to poll) swung for Trump only 2 weeks ago.
