So how would you suggest we judge them?

Individually. Declaring some type of winner really does not do anything. For me, and hopefully many others, what Trump does is not that impressive. It shows that he can generate sound bites and tear people down. It does not show that he has any type of intelligent policies or the means of getting those policies enacted. It does not show he is going to be capable in any type of foreign relations, as those type of tactic will not get him to far.

If Trump wanted to put Cruz away earlier, he should have debated him before Wisconsin, since Trump has won 8 debates with as many as 10 other candiates, a 1v1 debate with one candidate should be cake.

You act like anyone else ever says anything other than talking points and rehearsed statements designed specifically to generate sound bites. The difference is Trump says what he actuality thinks and it turns into to soundbites. Meanwhile Jeb is over here insisting Iraq was a good decision when we all know it wasn't. Yet, Trump is the only one who will say so. While Rubio is busy repeating the same line over and over while not actually answering any questions Trump is saying what he thinks and making everyone else look inferior by comparison.

In short...I think you hold Trump to standards you don't hold the others. None of these people are giving detailed and honest answers...they're just looking for soundbites and failing.

There's no reason for Trump to debate Cruz. Cruz was already effectively out of the race at that point with his only path being a dark, underhanded, and rigged one. All Trump would have been doing at that point was giving Cruz life.

After 10+ debates almost all of which Trump clearly won...there's just no need to give Cruz a 12th chance to win one.

You don't. The point of having a political debate is not to win, but to provide people information they should want to have to decide who to vote for. If you want to declare individual winners in these they need to be rule like real debates with judges.

Your right it is not rocket science, it's harder. The boarder is very long and goes through a lot of different territory. A wall is not going to be built simply because of the expense and the fact that a wall without someone watching it is stupidly easy to bypass.

Yet the media has made it seem like a huge surprise that Trump won his home state and nearby states, making no mention they had some of the lowest turnout percentages of registered voters in this entire primary season.

Yet the media has made it seem like a huge surprise that Trump won his home state and nearby states, making no mention they had some of the lowest turnout percentages of registered voters in this entire primary season.

Cruz was on track to lose before. There was more uncertainty as there were more things that could have gone wrong. Since those things didn't go wrong, and things have proceeded as expected, Cruz's chances have gone into the toilet. Further, low turnouts are a sign that the races aren't seen as competitive rather than an indication of a lack of support. The GOP opposition to Trump is dead. Most Nevertrumpers are getting on the bandwagon.
