No. We don't need multiple belts in weight classes.

But IMO the UFC did miss a great opportunity to keep the WEC and have it as a league like the NBA's D league. Keep it on free tv, let prospects fight and send down UFC fighters who need work/improvements. Have a clause in their contract that at anytime champions or other fighters could be brought up to the UFC as needed.

well back in the day, the WEC had all the standard amount of weight classes. When the UFC bought them they kept dropping classes till they got to 155 and below. Keep Strikeforce or the WEC and allow fighters to develop, which organization wouldn't matter IMO. There's plenty of great prospects that have star potential but aren't ready for the big leagues yet that could benefit from this. But that's caring about the fighters and their careers, something the UFC doesn't care about too much.
