Increase Verical Jump

Wow, I was going to send you to the glossary, but plyometrics are not in the glossary.

It's a type of a "bouncing" exercise, which preloads a muscles during their eccentric phase in order to use the stretch reflex to increase the maximum power output during the concentric phase.

Think about squatting, waiting for a couple of seconds, and then jumping (normal concentric exercise), and about making a bit of a hop right before you jump up (plyometrics). This stretch reflex can really add to your explosive power output.

Common plyos include handclap pushups (because you have to catch yourself while falling down and then immediately bounce back), all sorts of depth jumps, etc.

Somebody out there can probably explain it better.
 
jump squats although the technique itself is very difficult
 
If plyometrics arent included in the glossary they should definitively be added. Strength and -power- is the name of the game.
 
i think jumping a lot and recovering is the best way
