Because 145 few years ago and 145 today - completely different things. Cyborg is barely 145 while being almost dead and Ronda is 135 with no visible weight loss.

Look at former champion at 155 - Edgar. He can easily fight at the weight again but these guys will be too big for him. He will never go further than top4-5. Everybody just cuts extreme amount of weight, so Ronda's 145 back then can't be compared to what actual 145 is today.
 
I'm all for mocking Ronda, was super happy she got KO'd but you can't "duck" someone who should realistically be fighting in a non existant 155 class (because she kills herself to make 145) while Ronda is a natural 135er. Cyborg waslk around 176 pounds, she posted that herself on Instagram. That's like saying Cruz or TJ are ducking Khabib or Conor.

Also if you know the side story of the story, Cyborg ducked USADA hard (she asked to be released from the UFC) and the only reason that fight never happened is Cyborg, not Ronda. Cyborg was given plenty to of opportunities, just as she was given the chance to be the 145 champ (something she literally begged for years) and when she had the chance, she bailed AGAIN.

Ronda and the UFC had the "Cyborg-Carano" fight to guide them. Dana and the UFC were not going to let that happen to Ronda.

Agreed, it was Ronda's best move. She was able to maintain credibility for a longer period of time in the public's eye than would have been the case had she chosen to fight Cyborg earlier in her career.

Nobody really , Lewis once in 96 but he ended up fighting him in 2002 anyways. Just so you know Lewis was Tyson mandatory for his wbc title Tyson paid him like 4mil to step aside so he an holyfield could have there first fight , and the ready is history :) p.s well maybe George formen too in 1991
 
Cyborg has never deserved to fight Ronda and it would be stupid for Ronda to move up a weight class and fight Cyborg, someone who's now been caught twice with PEDs. All Cyborg hadto do was stop taking PEDs and she could have moved down to BW. I think you are seeing this from the wrong perspective - the narrative should be about Cyborg not wanting to do what it takes to fight Ronda and earn millions and not about Ronda not wanting to fight a cheater. And, this is coming from a Ronda hater and Cyborg fan (well, being a Cyborg fan is damn near impossible considering how stupid she acts).

TS is right IMO. Cyborg would've smashed Ronda and Ronda would've never gone on to become a mainstream phenomenon making millions per fight.

Unless you were buying her ridiculous hype train, most people knew Cyborg most likely was going to bludgeon her into a bloody mess quickly. The casuals obviously probably believed she was untouchable, but any real mma fan knew.
 
Cyborg will be devastated that Ronda leaves the sport without ever getting to cave her face in.
