Movies In Predator 2 Would you have given up the chase at this point?

Once I figured out what was going on I'd leave LA for at least a period of time. Ain't trying to fight no alien creature. Leave that to everyone else.

AvP is pretty goofy and meh, but honestly, I think it's better than everything that's come out after it (in either franchise).
Yes. I thought it was mostly good in the theatre but it hasnt aged really well. I dont really ever feel like throwing it on.

The origin story didnt really add that much to it. It just became some indian jones temple gimmickry, and Lance Henricksen was the only human that had any character.

I haven't seen it since probably 2009 but I thought it was pretty creative with how it brought everything together and then tied it all up at the end. I just didn't like how as a whole it wasn't made with the same care, level of detail, and tone as Alien or Aliens.

That's the problem with movies like AvP and Freddy vs Jason. They don't take the time to make the world as great as it was in the best films of their respective franchises. They just sort of highlight both worlds in a very general and generic sort of way and then mash them together. It's all very superficial.

Ideally, I think a legit AvP would be like Aliens (the same level of set design, tension, dread, suspense) and then the predators show up (but it's like Predator 1 with the slow build). The key is the slow burn building of tension. Instead, these Vs movies just rush right to the action with not much build up. So it lacks the same tension and dread.

I still think it's a fun movie for what it is, and I can say that I absolutely enjoy it more than the trash ass dogshit of Prometheus, Covenant, and Romulus, and Predators, The Predator, and Prey, but it's a shell of what Predator/Alien/Aliens are.

- I seem to remember one of the early Alien vs Predator games maybe on the PS1 being actually quite awesome. You could choose to play as either the Predator, Alien, or Colonial Marines. It was a solid game. Why not just do a movie like that? That would be way better than anything we've gotten since literally Aliens and Predator 1.

This is the major problem with all these movies. They never go ALL THE WAY. They are like mini-bitch versions of the comics.

They come across as throwaway movies once the setting is established.

Most of the AVP games from the early 2000s are alot of fun and they def could have made movies based on their premises.

It did give us this cool scene.

But that's all I can say about it lol.

I would not go up against a Predator. They are hunters that only go after trophies. Let them go on Safari and go after the Big Game hunters. Or Antifa. I will gladly let them hunt.

Assuming I even went hard in the paint enough to get to that point, I think I'd call it a night. I sure as shit wouldn't be jumping multiple stories up from one pipe to a busted one that might not even hold my weight

Btw I saw this movie in theatres. When the part in the second clip, the very first part where you see the Predator after he crashes into the building, and that he is very much alive and totally fine, the theatre went mental hahahaha

I saw this in the theater, too.

My favorite reaction was when that chick was rodeo riding that dude in the penthouse. I herd a woman yell, "Oh, no!" I saw her get up and grab (who I assumed to be) her son. She starts to walk up the ramp, looks back, and yells, "Hey!" This guy gets up and exclaims, "I'm watching this!"

The theater erupted.

The Predator jumped a ton in predator 2 but it was all a real dude jumping/practical fx.

Maaaan. It woulda been better if he made a voodoo doll of the Predator and started breaking his limbs 1 by 1. He deserved better. R.I.P King Willie.
You can only use voodoo against human beings

THIS IS DREAD MON

TRULY DREAD

DREAD MAGICK DOESNT WORK AGAINST ITSELF

THIS THING

KILLIN YALL PEOPLE AN' MINE

IS FROM THE OTHER SIDE

I HAVE SEEN HIM ALL AROUND

YOU CANT SEE THE EYES OF THE DEMON

TILL HIM COME CALLIN

I have more questions.

Gary Busey says that the Predator comes to the Slaughterhouse every few days to feed.

So...I guess he had been staying in the Predator ship? It does show him bringing back King Willie's skull to mount in the trophy room, even though we dont know where exactly that is yet.

If that's so, did he bring back a bunch of meat for his other Tribeslads??

That would be pretty fuckin rude if he didnt.
