I think every one of us has an innate fighting style that suites our physical attributes, reflex and behavior.
A keen master/coach/sensei (which is very rare) who has a keen eye for this can help us identify our natural style and help us develop it.
e.g.
Defensive Fighter for Tall and slow guy - jab, teep, HK, clinch.
Offensive Fighter for Tall but quick guy - jab combo with straight then HK. and also footwork.
etc
etc
etc
I mean, its not the fighting style that we want, its the fighting style that is meant for us.
And just in case that we are a Tall and kinda slow fighter imitating Schilt will be good but imitating shogun or GSP would be a bad idea.
So its find your natural fighting style and imitate a fighter that is similar to your natural fighting style.
