I liked the American version but you're right with "watered down". Ours was more concise I guess. Other half could only watch a couple of episodes at a time it was so awkward. I struggled as well. It set it up for the US version and I did enjoy it as a sit com, not what Ricky did with the original.

I haven't even seen the first movie and don't plan to so I don't care much but I hope this is true. Maybe I'll go see this one just to show support for a great decision. My wife watched the first one and liked it so I'm sure she would like to go.
