We have a CARE unit in case we need to talk to someone. Theres Also a preacher or rabbi or imam around if we need to talk. Push comes to shove you speak to another CO.

As for me, I fish on my pass days and spend time with my wife and kid. It's easy for me to leave the bullshit of work on the island and not bring it home with me

Well you did say you've been a co of a year and a half. Its usually kids in their early 20's or people like you who change careers midlife crisis for a cushy state job. I picked the former, figured you were posting to feel special.

As for me, I've had to put hands on an innate once. Fucker got passed a weapon and ran towards me with the banger in the air. Grabbed his arm and brought him down. Fucked both my knees and elbow up in the process. Have a comp case for that

In a year and a half I've seen 5-6 officers get busted for bringing in contraband/having sexual relations with inmates. One scumbag CO was bringing in scalpels. Latest was a few days ago, female CO was either topping some guy off or having sex with him or someshit.

He was problematic. Always assaulting officers so he was always locked in. Last time I saw him, he got transferred to another building bc another innate was going to get housed there who would have killed him.
