During big sporting events they make a lot of it and we do searches for it and confiscate it. Most we got was like 12 2 litter bottles and a few garbage bags of the atuff

We have ESU, but they're only called in for big things going down. Otherwise, every alarm in the building is responded by the COs either onnlunch, in the hallway, or just in the area.
With OT I made 55k last year. This year I should be hitting 65-70k.

Some COs act like they're super cops. Me, I'm humble with them. I say good moening and talk to them. I'm not a dick just for the shit of it. Most of the inmates population know me because I worked the barbershop for 6months.

It has it's moments. Pay is great. Gettick stuck for another 8 hour shift sucks but it's become the norm
One time I thought someone shouldn't be there. Kid was there for defending his sister. Punched some kid and that kid fell and hit his head on the curb. He died a few days later. Kid was there on a manslaughter charge bc he defended his sister.
