I think it’s really a case of styles make fights. Machida is not great with strikers who pressure him. Whereas Jacare keeps a really tight defense on the back foot...

Plus with Machida you’re probably looking out for head kicks. Jacare not so much.

Brunson’s ability to get back up off the ground in the scramble was great. He just needs to tighten his defense.
