Illia will struggle at lightweight

Pride comes before the fall. Ilia has been talking alot of shit and getting away with it. It ends with Charles.

Looks like the midget fluffers are already gearing up to storm the thread, ignoring the literal only LW fight he has had where he got dropped like a sack of shit against a bum, thinking he will be LW superhero based on absolutely nothing.

Sure, he will probably KO an elderly Charles who will serve up his glass chin on a platter, but Georgian Warwick Davis will eventually come unstuck the more he fights people that resemble adult-sized humans.

Nah it’s because it’s an extra chromosome juggling thread, Islam actually got stopped by a nobody at LW, obviously he has zero future there.

except Conor wasnt a natural FW and ' moved up' to his natural weight

Literally every featherweight who has moved up to lightweight has struggled with the power of lightweights, Max took alot of damage in Dustin 2, got dropped for the first time in his fight against JG.
Thats not true. Ludoviť Klein have 6 wins and 1 draw in LW after he moved from FW... - He blamed his last two loses in FW to exhaustion from weight lose - same thing which Topuria spoke about with Rogan.

So no, not every fw...

found some highlights of recent fight in LW -

BTW cool "Sadam Jones" on ur profil picture...

Arman and Islam are stronger and could mixed it up, they are toughest fight for him at LW

I genuinely think Paddy could win against him... he has shown to have granite chin and is a big LW with good ground game

Dustin and Gaethje have a punchers chance but i think they would get kod

Dan Hooker would lose by a decision but would leave with CTE

If Gamrot relies on his cardio and wrestling he could pull out a decision

The guy is an absolute destroyer, no question, but change of coach , change of body , change of weight class , he’s making it very difficult to Kay money on him with all these things to consider

Illia has been in camp & has been bulking up for lightweight since Oct 24, hrs been posting his training videos & the guy still looks so small.

Literally every featherweight who has moved up to lightweight has struggled with the power of lightweights, Max took alot of damage in Dustin 2, got dropped for the first time in his fight against JG.

Everyone talks about Volk getting koed in Makhachev 2 but he actually took a lot of good shots in Makhachev 1 aswell, he dropped to a knee in the first Makhachev fight.

McGregor got dropped by Khabib, koed by Porier

Illia takes alot of shots, both Volk & Max were landing on him & neither of them are known for their knockout power. Mitchell was able to take Illia down & even though Illia beat the piss out of Emmett he still couldn't finish him. Neither Mitchell nor Emmett are elite fighters.

Finally Illia already almost got koed against Herbert, if it was any good fighter other than Herbert Illia would have been finished that day.

I wish we were seeing Illia vs Charles of 2021-22, Charles is old now and struggled to finish Chandler, even then the odds for this fight are kinda ridiculous.

I will favor Illia over Charles in this fight but Illia will really struggle against Arman, Makhachev and honestly I even see him having very competitive fights against Gamrot & Paddy.

It's unfortunate how far lightweight has fallen off but Lightweight will still be a very steep hill to climb for Illia, the odds for the fight against Charles are ridiculous but when they finally face off alot of money will be coming on Charles.
Go tell Emmett to his face he’s not elite

Go tell Emmett to his face he’s not elite
Emmet is not elite by any stretch of imagination, I'd tell it to his face aswell, if he punches me I'd call the cops or something, people shouldnt get emotional about opinions

He won’t struggle. He’ll KO everyone now that Islam is gone. The only guy who can give him trouble is Paddy the Baddy due to his size and well-rounded game.

good then. I hope you're right. I hope he gets bullied and cant cut back down cause he bulked past the point of no return but still too small for LW and then goes on 1 of those 7+ losing streaks and finally gets cut after too many chances and then loses on a karate combat co-main event free on youtube

He might but just moving up in weight doesn't mean he will.

Poirier, Oliveira and Hooker all moved up from FW in the UFC and became top 10 guys, the former 2 being top 5 for pretty much the last decade.

I look at Ilia and see an exceptionally talented combat sports athlete with ELITE mma boxing. Maybe the best I have ever seen, I'd like to see a bigger sample size, but he is certainly in the conversation for best boxing in MMA.

His SPEED I could see really being a problem for the older guys at 155.

Most of the LW top 5 as I recall is on the wrong side of 35, including Charles, who he is facing in a bout where the winner leaves with the "undisputed" title.

The one fella who has the tools on paper to give Ilia trouble just packed his shit and left town... making this a good time to be fast young hungry and packing power and precision striking at 55

I think he will do just fine.
