Illia is terrible champion

Ilia fought like four months ago.

When was Izzy’s last fight?
Izzy isn’t the champion right now.

Better than question to ask is how often Izzy fought as Champion.

The answer is OFTEN and with injuries. Always the biggest challenges no excuses given…

Ilia should take notes

Great fighter… one of the best ever.

But man he is a shit champion. Barely ever fights. Dodges many of the legitimate contenders. A total diva in Twitter.

Like why the fuck are we getting an interim title fight.

Exciting guy. Awesome skills but can’t wait for him to lose the belt

He has a custody battle of his kids with his wife ya rtard. Also most champions except for a few fight twice or once fight regularly. I expect Khamzat to be much worse in terms of activity

Yeah, he should take notes from Izzy on how to end up on a three fight losing skid.

Also, I would grant you all that if he had accepted a trilogy with Pereira but he dick tucked out of that so hard that it ruins all the good stuff he did imo

And so what??? Illia has been inactive long before his latest excuse. Plenty of fighters have fought through much worse. And right Khamzat is another dude who is likely to become a terrible champion

Apparently she comes from a rich family, don’t think she baby trapped him. More likely situation is that ilia is a self-obsessed narcissist and they fell out over that. Having a child is pretty traumatic to women, their bodies change, their hormones are all over the place, for a while they’re not as attractive as they were pre-pregnancy. Does ilia strike you as the patient and supportive husband type who’d be willing to re-prioritize his life to accommodate his wife through those rough spots? Hell no, he’s an a-hole lol.
She's asking for 50%, can't hide that she was with him only for his money. Was blatant since the start, i saw them in alot of spanish news together, you could tell 100000% she was only with him for his money. Didnt give 2 sh** about him, always posing for herself. And now that she got pregnant she got her golden ticket and the way out. Like i said, same happens with 90% of soccer players. As soon as they get pregnant, you're fu**ed.

You have to go the Hakimi way in that situation. Girl married him to then ask for a divorce and he had all his assets including his salary registered in his mom's name and she was screwed 😂

If that Hakimi story was true then he’s goated lol

Three fights in three years and you're comparing Topuria to a post-prime Adesanya?

Imagine being a champion and all you talk about is getting an immediate title shot at the division above despite have zero title defences. Well that and the joke that is Pimblett.

That's absolute bullshit.

Alex changed HIS MIND and stated that him and his team actually planned to go to 205 after the fight with Izzy. After reflecting on the devastating KO, he thought the move up would improve his chin and overall performance....and he was fucking dead on the money with that move. Career changing move and at the best possible time, the best in the division are primarily strikers.

It's not 3 fights in 3 years, it's more like 6, which is not unusual for a UFC champ. How many times has Tom fought lately... what about Khamzat, or Makhachev?

I agree Pimblett is a joke tho.

He called him out RIGHT AFTER winning the 205 title back in November of 2023 and said "Adesanya, come to daddy".

Let me give you some context:

It's November of 2023, and Poatan has just won his second UFC title while Izzy just lost his a few months earlier to Strickland.

So they're 1-1 in the UFC, Poatan is on top of the world again and had just achieved double champ status, while Izzy just had an embarrassing loss that wasn't close. Alex is giving him an opportunity for a tiebreaker and a second UFC title that Izzy already tried for once and failed, but now he's got no MW belt and absolutely nothing to lose and everything to gain, yet he still wants no part of it.

Honestly taking the stakes into consideration it was possibly the biggest dicktuck in men's mma.

My mistake, it will be three fight in two years as of February.

He's been very inactive. Dogshit diva champion, just like Chimaev. I'm not sure how throwing in another weak champion strengthens your case at all?

Machachev fought twice in 2022, 2023, and 2025. 2024 is the only exception where he fought once.

Fighters like Adesanya, Volk, Merab are far more active and ready to fight no.1 contenders than that clown Topuria.

Maybe, but I’d rather watch one Ilia knockout than 3 typical Volk or Merab decisions.

Oh yeah, those easy to beat handpicked opponents like Max, Volk and Oliveira while chasing Makhachev. A walk in the park.
He's not chasing Makhachev. Just blathering to make it seem like he's coming after Islam.
He knows he'll get smashed to Bolivia if they fight at WW.

He may or may not lose, but to pretend he’s not actively seeking the toughest possible fight is just plain dishonest.

Nowadays he is chasing Machachev (where a loss means he keeps his undefended belt) and Paddy rather than defend his belt against Arman.

Nope, it's just being realistic as opposed to this romantic notion of a brave little warrior seeking brawls with windmills.

I neither think of him as some brave warrior nor a duck, just a prizefighter seeking the most high profile fight while making the most amount of money.

Some of you are like emotional children living in some fantasy world of fairness utopia.
