Former President Joe Biden's DOJ began an investigation into the finances of Rep. Ilham Omar (D-MN), the New York Times reported.

In her latest financial disclosure, filed in May 2025 and covering 2024, Omar valued husband Tim Mynett’s venture capital management firm, Rose Lake Capital LLC, at $5 million to $25 million, and his winery, eStCru LLC, at between $1 million and $5 million—far greater than the $1 to $1,000 and $15,000 to $50,000 she valued those businesses the previous year.
The upper range of those valuations is what’s led to reports she’s worth tens of millions of dollars, even though the rest of her disclosure and the value of her federal government pension reveals a net worth between about -$40,000 and $115,000.
In a TikTok video posted in September, Omar said the valuation ranges reflect the total values of Mynett’s businesses, in which he is one of several partners—not the value of his ownership stake.

Under the House Ethics Committee’s financial-disclosure guidance, members are instructed to report the value of a lawmaker’s or spouse’s ownership interest in a privately held partnership.

Personally, I hate her. Why, as some have asked? Because she’s crooked af like many other politicians. She is living the congressional political dream where she came into congress being in student loan debt in 2018. Was in congress a few years and married her current (and third) husband in 2022. When they married, he had a business that had almost no profit and now, the two of them are very wealthy. I wonder how that can happen and seems to happen for everyone in congress. Weird, huh? And people wonder why I hate both sides so much because it happens with republicans as well and there are very few successful “independents” most notably Bernie sanders but he and the lone other senator have ALWAYS VOTED WITH DEMOCRATS. Joe Manchin, who I actually liked, voted against party and started as a dem and ended up independent, but he is gone now and even though I liked him more than most, he still grew his wealth and voted in a manner that allowed his daughter to become very wealthy as a big pharma person that was allowed to jack up the prices on things like EpiPens and insulin.

As for whatever the fuck this is, it should be condemned and I can’t believe this guy was somehow allowed to get up and get back near her. Considering “the squad”-especially cori bush spent millions on private (only black cops for cori bush) security in addition to capital police, I am sure that will come back after this stupid stunt.
