But outside of his epic shit talking ability he's really just an above average fighter. No better skill wise than a Paul Daley.

Both he and Daley are 5'9 KO artists. Daley just never starved himself to get to 145.

Thanks. I like McGregor, he's a great character. He's special when it comes to his ability to sel a fight.

But just as a fighter he really shouldn't be considered even close to being one of the greats.

Just amazed about how McGregor is so overrated as a fighter on sherdog. I expect this from the casual sports fan and I understand why they like him. But anyone with knowledge of the history of MMA knows he isn't anything special.

Overrated by fanboys, most know he isn't "all of that". The counter-argument is "he beat aldo in 13 seconds" but most don't wanna argue about his in-ring skills not being enough to consider him a great. punches that end fights happen all the time, there's a lot to prove yet. The guy get his guard passed in a blink of an eye, unless his position is very safe he can't do much to defend himself on the ground.

Diaz and Conor are both 155ers and Diaz had zero trouble standing with Conor.

very impressive win and he had the whole world watching. He's a good fighter. Top 25 in the UFC right now for sure and the number 1 fight salesmen of all time. But he's not even close to the all time greats.
