If you want a good cardio exercise try rowing machines

I rowed for 8 years including on the Junior Olympic Team, Ivy League, and National Team (5:58 2K). The erg is a form for torture for me and I no longer listen to certain songs like any Rage Against the Machine songs because it brings back memories of sweaty, gross workouts. We used to do 2 steady-state 10 K’s at about a 1:52 split at 18 SPM (strokes per minute) before we even went on the water as a “warm up.”

I also LMAO when I see people at the gym just crank their backs on it. That’s a terrific way to get injured. Remember the order is legs, back, arms, and in that same order of importance in terms of where you focus your power. Also remember to go back up the slide arms, back, legs. If your calves are ever sore from a erg workout, you are rushing the slide.

Try doing just one 2k all out at 32+ SPM on a 4 or 5 resistance if you want the hardest (brief) workout of your life.

I actually am a personal trainer and have my own gym. Ill help ya what do you want to know?
Im skinny fat, well not really fat just have the typical bloated face and slight chubs, im 6 foot 2 and 205 pounds, my football weight was 184 pounds i was lean and muscular but that was over ten years ago.

What is a simple diet to help while i do my cardio and workouts to burn some of this chub?

Ive got a stationary and recumbent in my gym plus a road bike I but I get alot better workout on this rowing machine. Its a great way to build up your back muscles too look at Jason Stathams rear delts in the Transporter.
You can get a decent one for 300 and concept 2 rowers go into the thousands. When you are done you can fold it up and stick it in a corner.

my dad used to have that bike

Real rowing is low resistance. I get mad that 10 is even an option.

Eat around .8-1g of protein pre plund of body weight, and make sure calories are at a deficit of 200-500. Anything that fits that model.

First off start taking two tablespoons of apple cidar vinegar a day and make sure its apple cidar vinegar with the mother in it. It will say it on the bottle. This will cause anyone to slim down.
My diet consists of alot of veggies and maybe some chicken on the weekend. Start with an apple some plain peanuts and oatmeal for breakfast. Mix all that shit together and add honey if you want but not much just no sugar. Then for dinner eat a corn burrito with some cabbage brown rice and hot sauce. I grill my cabbage on a george forman grill and it comes out great.
Then for supper I eat a salad but stay away from the store bought dressings cause they are full of sodium and fattening. Just make your own with some olive oil plain yogurt and mustard.
Try not to eat after 8 cause your metabolism starts slowing down at night. Try to do 20 minutes of cardio 4 days a week and then work your way up from there. Turn on some music and hit that rowing machine it will motivate you more. Start some weight training too do you have any weights or a gym nearby?

I like working out in warm weather I like getting a sweat going, hate working out when its cold feels weird especially when you run your back starts getting cold

you can by a preowned one for cheaper probably 500 bucks might as well just get new, but they are the TOP of the line when it comes to rower and can handle guys over 6 foot and over 200 pounds they have a good warranty and good resale value
If you can't invest in that just get a gym membership they have concept 2 rowers there

Buy used. I got mine for $425 and the computer worked. If you want to upgrade to a computer that has games and memory stuff, that is like $250. They have apps and stuff so you can compete online. It is near impossible to destroy a concept 2 rower provided someone didn't leave it outside to rust up. Even then, I think near everything can be replaced since some rowing teams keep them on the docks and bagged when not in use to prevent condensation to collect on them. But, yeah of all commercial gym equipment that literally can't be destroyed by use, a Concept rower is pretty high up on the list. If you don't got room for it in your house or apartment, bag it and make sure to periodically oil the chain.

I picked one up because I had issues getting comfortable riding my bicycle on a trainer during the winter. A rower though will get you in shape a lot faster than riding on a trainer. Nothing compares to getting your cardio back in shape and leaning and bulking up. People think that cardio means that you will get stupid lean but you can have large muscle mass that is all endurance muscle. Competitive rowers actually have a higher percentage of slow twitch to fast twitch muscle fibers than cyclist. Keep the resistance lower and your cadence up and you should be ok. Just remember that you are mainly pulling with your legs.

My only complaint about the machine is that it is kind of loud. There are magnetic ones and magnetic bike trainers are pretty quiet but I have never tried a magnetic or liquid rower. Get some wireless headsets and setup in front of a tv but a standard concept 2 rower is kind of loud.
