If you like Banshee and martial arts, check out this new series which is said to be inspired by the writings of Bruce Lee and created/executed produced by Jonathan Tropper (Banshee creator). Warrior premieres April 5 on Cinemax.

"In 1971, Bruce Lee had developed a concept for a television series called 'The Warrior', about a martial artist in the American Old West, but that he was having trouble pitching it to Warner Bros. and Paramount. According to Bruce Lee's widow, Linda Lee Cadwell, however, Lee's concept was retooled and renamed Kung Fu, but Warner Bros. gave Lee no credit."

It's a like if deadwood and into the Badlands had a baby

Already more impressed with the martial arts than i was with Iron Fist

I'm interested
Not as a historian that knows something about Chinese exclusion and their role in the West, because this kind of show is always total ass in regards to history, but because it looks pretty damn cool.

Al swearegen needs to make a jump between universes and go beat the shit out of this guy

Nice. I'm going to let this one run for a while before I hop in though. If it's still around after two season and a third is confirmed I'll check it out. Tired of getting into a show and it gets canceled after a season or two.

I’m sold

Looks good, glad to see Banshee creator back in the game. Banshee was high octane action porn, just awesome stuff! It didn't wear out its welcome either.

There were so many great characters and video game like bosses. I can't wait to forget it so I can watch it again down the road.

Chayton was legit terrifying

Looks cool. I'd watch it, but I don't get Cinemax and have no intention of paying for it.

Does anyone else get the feeling this is 'Hollywood Spin' to get a new martial arts show related to Bruce Lee?
