I don't want to work for the man forever. Being in charge presents its own challenges.

I'd start a woodworking business. Which I'm actually thinking of doing.

I suppose...
I'd start an mma website to compete with Sherdog, eventually buy this site, and pump up our forum bigly.

After all, we're awesome and deserve a bigger sandbox

Find a way to get about 170k more and start a real business.

30k really isn't much to start a business with. Best bet is to start a business on the sideline while still holding a stable job.

At all cost, avoid anything that'll require rental and paid staff.

If you dont have a car, buy one and drive Uber or Lyft. That is pretty much all you can do with $30K.

Or you can buy a few food carts, hire a bunch of people to run them. But how you keep an eye on all them?

I guess depending on where you are $30K is enough to rent a small small store front for maybe a few months.

Peer to peer lending

Find something that you enjoy doing man....any business is good if you are going to put your 100% effort in it...no business will be good if you are not enjoying it and you are treating it like a 9-5 job that you are only doing for money.... Ive had a business since 2001, Ive had highs and lows and I understand I have to generate money to live but to be honest its never been about just money... so if you want to start a business you have to change your mind and stop thinking like a sheep employee, its not about money... if you are going to do it for money then fuck it man, just get a job...its easier!

Use it for a deposit on a condo in a popular city and then rent it out with Airbnb.

Easiest option.

Put 70% in the S&P 500 Index Funds.
