If you dont want the champ to fight the interim champ

Definitely attached to how effortlessly he rustles jimmies!
He doesn't though

You guys who are in love with him can only comprehend that people who aren't in favour of him ducking the best contender must be "haters" or "russled".

Your views on Jon and MMA are immature and illogical. So you presume those who hold contrary opinions to you must also do so for childish and illogical reasons.

Those of us who just love fighting want to see Jon fight Tom, Pereira fight Ank, Islam fight Arman etc

We want to see the champs challenge themselves against the most exciting opponent

We don't all operate from school girl like perspectives

I say let Jones take his dream fights at LHW and HW but has to vacate the belt so Tom can fight for it against the most deserving contender.
Jones is not going down to LHW

He cant

All the time he spent preparing his body for HW, he cant just go down to LHW at 40 and think everything gonna be alright

Tom already said he doesn't care if Jones fights him or not. He just wants to become undisputed HW champ.

Jones isn't the real HW champ in anyone's eyes as he ducked Ngannou and beat Frank's leftovers.

Best case scenario Jon fights Tom
2nd best Jon doesn't fight Tom and vacates ASAP

Anything else is balls if you like sport and you aren't an immature troll or 60 IQ spastic.

I, however, do.

<Fedor23>
And that's a valid viewpoint to be honest given his history.

But we have some man child gimps on here who think everyone who isn't pro Jon ducking must be a "hater" or "coping" when that clearly isn't the case

"Preparing"

As much as a Stipe win is great for his record and making Gane look like an amateur who had no business being in there with him, when you look at his physique he just looks like a fat LHW who didn't bother cutting weight

I wonder if he maybe could still make LHW as it doesn't look like he gained much muscle tbh

It's part of the reason a Tom fight is interesting

Clearly the size advantage of all the other HWs is negated by Jon's skill etc advantage. The question is, what would be the difference between him and Tom. His skill and other advantages are perhaps not so large v Tom, will they still be sufficient to overcame Tom's natural size advantages and other advantages Tom likely holds such as power and strength?

Would be awesome to find out

Jon could sneeze and there'd be 15 topics crying about it
True.

You guys are trying to say everyone who doesn't think only positive things about him or who doesn't want him to fight Tom can only be a hater.

There's lots of us for whom that's not the case.

So you need to stop using it as a comfort blanket to dismiss every single poster and viewpoint that conflicts with your own.

Who here doesn't want Jones to fight Aspinall?

Numerous other fan girls who have been posting hysterically about why the champ shouldn't fight the interim

How does Jones have any actual "fans" at this point? He's proven himself to be a despicable human being. I assume the posters who talk about Jones and reference Christ are just trolling.

This is an incredibly disingenuous post actually

You are replying in a thread where only about 6 people have responded by the time you did and 2 have openly and clearly stated they don't him to

one of those guys say he didn't care, so you can't count that

the other guy just said he'd rather see something else, not that he explicitly doesn't want to see it

whatever

I saw ur thread crying about politics in the forum, you take things way too seriously

I don't believe I've ever said anything like that. I just enjoy laughing at obsessives, and Jon hate is probably the biggest obsession here. It's also funny to hear these things when I'm not the one pretending that wins are losses and interim belts are undisputed.

I've also never said that Jon shouldn't fight Tom, just that I don't personally care if it happens or not.

Are there really that many people that would prefer he fight Pereira?

The Tom fight ain't happening, regardless how anyone feels about it.

All these fangirls have is "cope" and childish nonsense

I don't hate Jon. I don't want him to go to prison.

I want the two best heavyweights in the world to fight as I think it will be epic.

But then. I'm an MMA/Fight fan. I don't want to see the one fighter I'm in love with protected from other great fighters.

Jon is the GOAT. Tom is the scariest mother fucker in fighting right now.

I don't understand why any rational fight fan is desperate for this not to happen
Yes, if Jones fights again, Aspinall is the ONLY fight that makes sense...
It should have happened rather than Stipe, but here we are.

I know I shouldn't hate Jon, but I'm an irrational fan and he brings out the very worst in me.

If you have any respect for the integrity of the sport, then you should want the champion to face the most deserving challenger. The belt is supposed to be a symbol of ultimate achievement in the sport. It should be respected and the champion should be obliged to give the next guy his chance at greatness as the one before him gave him or step aside.

The belt should never be a mere prop for vanity fights picking and choosing who to give a chance based off personal goals. There’s a place in this sport for legacy or random fun fights. But the belt should never be involved.
