If you don't eat filet o fish you're not a McDonald's fan

Because they're right. You don't have to be a fan of MM, just like you don't have to be a fan of GSP, or Jones...but if you can't respect their skills and what they're able to do to other elite fighters in the octagon, then you are certifiably retarded as a MMA fan.
Discounting MM's skills because of his height makes you a 'just bleed bro'.
Maybe they just don't like Johnson. No one has to respect anything about anybody.

I have been told all week by those very same people that life is not fair. So why they hell should anyone like Demetrious Johnson?

Well then fuck you clown! Is that smart enough shit head.
enjoy my ignore list.

Even though you won't see this, I am genuinely sorry you don't actually understand what the "no true scottsman" fallacy is and how incorrect you are for trying to apply it here.

This goes back to the original problem. No one said you had to like his fights, or like him as a person, but if you can't RESPECT his MMA skills because he's short then I don't know how you can call yourself a fan. There's a lot of guys on here that trash talk him solely for being small.

Someone can be a fan without liking or respecting DJ. To say different is a strawman by definition.

Thomas and Helwani have been saying all week that the world isn't fair. So why should DJ be respected? The world isn't fair. So he gets very little respect.

You see how using that adage counters every argument. "The world isn't fair and that's that".

You want it to be one way, when it's the other.

Don't me wrong, man. I understand what you are saying and if someone else made that argument besides Helwani, I might not be so dismissive.

But he is the world isn't fair guy, so give Mcgregor what he wants because he deserves it. And he doesn't see the redundancy in his own argument.

Man, McDonalds always smells so good when I drive by but I can never bring myself to eat it. The last time I ate there I had some delicious BBQ Chipotle Bacon angus burger.. I don't remember exactly, but I went back a few months later and they had stopped selling it. So fuck that place.

There's respecting someone as a person, and respecting someone as a fighter. You don't have to respect MM as a person, but if you are a fan of MMA you cannot not respect him as a fighter, or at the very least, respect his skills. I don't see how you can see it in any other way. You don't have to enjoy his fights, but If you don't think MM is an elite fighter then you don't understand what you're watching.

Because life isn't fair and as a MMA fan I don't have to respect anyone about anything ever.

I don't understand why people get offended when someone says they are not a real fan, like MMA is a cult or something.
