To begin with there are/were wolves in Africa and are not the cool big powerful type... Wolves in hot climate are usually much much smaller than cold climate counterparts

They will

-hunt Gazelle, wildebeest and lower size animals. Maaaybe zebras, but Idk zebras are crazy tough.
African buffalo only if very vey young or very very old/sick... they will likely NOT have with AB the same success rate they have in Alaska with bisons

- try fuck up Wild Dogs and take theyr place in the food chain, possibile hyenas too, but they will need big number

- Use numbers to bully hyena, cheeta or leopard away and steel theyr hunt. They can bully away WD too, without need number

- avoid fight hyena. Even if i think a strong wolf is in underrated by internet broscience, and can even "win", hyenas are too damn durable and even one single bite can cause permanent menomations, wolves will learn win or lose 1v1 Is not a good deal. I think they will treat It like a small bear

- try to fight off a Lion ONLY if they got big number advantage and he invaded theyr territory or to defend food. As soon Lions are 2 or more they will not even try

- Lions will try to kill them, like they already do with others african predators

If it wasn't for the climate wolves would do well in Africa. I'm not talking those pussy little American wolves either, i'm talking big ass Canadian wolves. I saw a group of 4 wolves kill a very large black bear when it tried to steal the deer they had killed. It took a while but eventually they wore the bear down and ripped the throat out of it. Coordinated attacks and strategy more than made up for the power difference, wolves are intelligent predators.
