The Amendment was written so that WHEN DEMOCRACY IS THREATENED, the people have a means to uphold the principles of this country. When there was no threat on our democracy, there was no justification for holding up a counter to that threat. It's essentially waving a gun at an invisible man to let noone in particular know you can.

Now that a man of authority has come out in direct opposition to the very principle that birthed the 2nd Amendment, it's time to wave those guns around. Only the people who should be, are now laying their arms down and saying "wel I mean he's kinda right".

Turns out they weren't protectors of this nation and it's ideals, but actually giant pussies ready to kneel before the first man who told them to.

I think that soon, the GOP will be taking a long hard look at the values they want to represent. I hope they do the right thing, because that at least is becoming more clear by the day.
