Conor clearly won the fight 3-2 and that draw was BS but what if the judges fucked up (like they usually do) and gave Nate the fight? How would have Conor's career gone afterwards? Still a LW titleshot and the Floyd fight?

Then that means someone has cloned Cecil peoples.

Hypotheticals are fun.

I think Conor would have retired and started a band called Conor and the McGregors.

Yes, still a LW titleshot and the Floyd fight. Wins and losses don't mean shit these days. As long as you put asses in seats, you get whatever fights you want.

I actually scored it a draw.

R1 | 10-9 McGregor
R2 | 10-9 McGregor
R3 | 10-9 Diaz
R4 | 10-10 Draw
R5 | 10-9 Diaz

As to what might've happened if McGregor wasn't deemed the winner: he would've had to defend the Featherweight title (late 2016), Nurmagomedov/Alvarez would've fought (late 2016), and Diaz would've probably fought for the Lightweight title (early 2017).

Have the judges EVER given a 10-10 round?
Conor did just enough to win the 4th round, I thought he was done.

Probably, I just don't know off hand.

I broke the 4th round down by the minute (and in some cases by the second):

5:00-4:00 Draw Striking
4:00-3:00 McGregor Striking
3:00-1:50 Diaz Clinch Control/Striking
1:50-1:00 Draw Clinch & Striking
1:00-0:00 Draw Striking

I don't see how it could've been scored for McGregor, it's about as close to a Draw round as you could get.

With rounds 1 and 2 going to McGregor, rounds 3 and 5 going to Diaz, and round 4 being a draw, it's an easy 48-48 Draw.

It was a pretty close fight. It could've gone to either guy so I wouldn't have been surprised if it went to Nate

Great breakdown
I remember really wanting Diaz to win...
I can't believe nobody ever talks about how fucked it was that the ref didn't call for a break to wipe the blood off of Nates face ...
I mean they do it every other time

They would have made him defend the Featherweight Title probably before giving him the shot at Lightweight. Which means Conor probably sticks around a tad bit longer before going on hiatus.

Nate already beat Conor.

Conor knows how to talk. He appeals to delusional people. The impact would have been nil.

There are actually people who believe that Conor is the GOAT. LOL

i don't know if conor would have gotten the floyd fight if he had lost to nate the second time. the whole point of mayweather vs. mcgregor was to pin the best in boxing versus the best in mma, in their same weightclasses, or roughly speaking. conor was able to heighten his legacy and lore by getting back that loss. if he had been 0-2 vs. nate, that would have looked bad.

either way, that second fight is one where neither guy really lost. conor got his win, and nate earned a ton of money, and because it was such a competitive fight, no one really looks at it negatively for nate.

and a third fight between them will always be there, and it will still do well, regardless of how their careers play out until then.
